Is this true?

On the intro of KnifeParty's Centipede, you hear a man saying this...

Giant tropical centipedes share their territories with tarantulas. Despite it's impressive length, it's a nimble navigator, and some can be highly venomous. As quick as lightning, just like the tarantula it's killing, the centipede has two curved hollow fangs which inject paralyzing venom.
Even tarantulas aren't immune from an ambush.

Question: is that (whatever he said in the intro of Centipede) true?

through a bit of Googling, it seems they were talking about "Scolopendra gigantea" a type of centipede found mostly in South America, and yes, what they said about it in the song is true.

i bet that text spoilered above could be from Animal Planet because i have seen that episode about centipedes before.
