Black Mesa: Half-Life Recreated

Stormy, I read that you've never played Half-Life. What if I told you that there's a faithful recreation of the game, made with Source, that's available for FREE?!?!

The name?

People are calling it the "Half-Life: Source" that they should have gotten.

So is it like a Half Life fan game? Interesting.

I think Ranger has a copy of HL I could play if I wanted to. It just doesn't really seem like my type of game.

Re: Black Mesa: Half-Life Recreated

Critics and fans alike are actually praising the game as if it were legitimately developed by an official company. It's professional, highly detailed, true to every bit of the core game, and it even adds a few new elements never-before seen.

Re: Black Mesa: Half-Life Recreated

Despite what Scaler said, Stormy, you probably won't like it if you don't like Half-Life, because it really is true to the original. It's graphical style is a large improvement, and many of the levels, while reminiscent of the original's, are still quite different, but given the same design style. It follows the same story of Half-Life, but does not actually take a drop of content from it outside the plot.

I should probably pick this up considering I've never finished the first Half Life all the way through and loved HL2 and the episodes

It's a download-only game, Paranoia.

"pick something up" is a universal term for buying something, whether it be physical or digital--but thank you, for correcting me for no reason.
