Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
Melee in my mind is the best game in the series. Smash Wii U is my favourite no doubt. But the competive in Melee is another level.
I wonder if the Mewtwo DLC is coming.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
I always thought people claiming Melee was better are basing it entirely off of nostalgia, because the next smash games are basically upgrades, despite a few character removals.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
It's definitely not just because of nostalgia (though it's certainly a factor for some people). There's a lot of depth to competitive Melee that the new games simply don't have (wavedash, L-cancelling, dash dancing). I just play Smash for fun, but if you ever watch tournaments Melee is by far the most exciting to watch due to the quick movement and pure technical skill that it takes to play it.

This exactly. I mean their on an entirely different level of play. It's a blast. So those are the reasons I consider it the best.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
last weekend me and some friends did some 8 player smash. It was really hectic, but it always got down to there being two left, and it'd get really intense then, all of us huddled around the tv, wondering who would win. Those moments were great.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
I know I've had the most fun with this game then any other Smash game it's great! Sadly though My GamePad's wifi chip might be bad so I'll have to send it and the Wii U and get both, GamePad and Wii U back new. The data might also me deleted so I may have to reunlock everything. But hey it happens hopefully it all gets fixed up and I'll be settling in Smash again soon.
Enough of that though I hope Mewtwo comes soon.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
If you have both the 3DS and Wii U version, you can register your club nintendo codes to get Mewtwo when he comes out, and tomorrow's your last day to do it, so if you haven't, you'd better hurry up.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
Has there been any indication of a price of the characters if you don't have both versions of the game? Either way, Mewtwo looks good (and its seems like he has identical moves to Melee). I liked the Lucas trailer too since I just started playing Mother 3 not to long ago. Not sure why they chose him out of all the characters to come back, but can't complain about extra content.
Not sure why I can't think of a character to vote for besides
Maybe Bayonetta, even though I haven't played those games. It would make sense since the most recent game was a Wii U exclusive.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
I voted for Lloyd Irving. Most likely not going to happen, but he has been on Nintendo systems and would fit in pretty well. I would buy the game immediately if they added any Tales characters, tbh.

Waluigi wouldn't be a bad vote either (but Lloyd would still be better).

Yeah, I believe they said they were $4.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
$4 is really generous. I like how Nintendo is doing DLC so far.
Lloyd is the protagonist from the Gamecube JRPG Tales of Symphonia. Really good game that's also seen a re-release of PS3.
I voted for Waluigi too. Not sure how they are going to deal with multiple votes if you can just vote indefinitely though. It seems really open to manipulation.

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
I figure if they get too much abuse they'll just discard votes from any IPs that voted more than once. They probably should have put up something to detect vote spamming, but whatever. They might not even be planning to treat it like a democratic vote anyway, who knows.

Yeah they probably already have a couple characters in mind and will only listen to the voting if those characters get picked

Re: Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U
Hopefully one day, I can get the issues with my Wii U and GamePad fixed up and settle in smash again. I will do my best too. But enough of that welcome back Mewtwo and Lucas!
I like the fighter ballot voted for The Inkling female most likely and, Shovel Knight so far.
