What's Your Mood When You Wait for a Game That Hasn't Come Out Yet?

I can probably mention something like Half-Life 2, Episode 3 (it might as well be called Half-Life 3 at this point, in my opinion). I've kind of given up at this point, but I'm sure there's a bunch of looney, obsessive fans who can't get enough of Half-Life. What about you? What's your take?

I don't think I've really anticipated a game released since the last real Spyro game. I'm not too big on keeping up with new games. I mainly just replay old ones.

just about every mood you can think of is what mine is when i am waiting for a game to come out. Ive been waiting since 1999 for someone to release a game that features Hunter.

also I dont know who that girl is in your pictures mr Scaler but she needs some chapstick LOL

Long thread title. yikes Also I think that is Faith from Mirror's Edge. I have that game on Steam but haven't even started it. X|

The one game I get freaked out about is Halo. I'm such a Halo nerd. XD

I just wait patiently. The last game I bought new and was really anticipating was Smash Bros for Wii U. Otherwise, I don't usually buy brand new games, since I can save a ton of money buying used a few months/years later.

Yeah, some series' are like that for people! That's why I listed Smash Bros. for me, lol. I just don't get too worked up about games in general anymore I guess. I never really had an Xbox, so Halo was never on my radar. I did play Halo 4 with some friends a while back and it was pretty fun though.

Depends on how long it's been since I was hyped for it. If I'm hyped, I want it badly for a day or two, but after that, it kinda dies down, and if there isn't more stuff coming out to hype me for it, I don't stay hyped.

I hate when people say they've lost hope for Half-Life 3, because it's definitely going to happen. Maybe not soon, but it will. Valve would probably be the dumbest company in history if they didn't make Half-Life 3. The game has been so speculated upon that it's been a meme since 2007. They started on Half-Life 1, it was massively successful, then they made a sequel, also massively successful, two episodic sequels to that, massively successful. They're definitely making Half-Life 3, the question is will it be as groundbreaking as the games before it were? Probably, yes, because Valve is pretty good at that. Every time they release a title, it succeeds greatly one way or another.

Oh, and Source 2 was announced the day before last, so Valve will probably release a new game to show off their new engine, like they did with Counter-Strike: Source, and then Half-Life 2. jus' sayin

the last game i anticipated the release of was in 2008. if a game got my attention today, i guess it would feel similar to waiting in 2015 for season 5 of mlp to start: mild excitement, while being distracted by other things.

The last time I couldn't wait for a game was when I finished playing Eternal night and they didn't have Dawn of the dragon in the store yet. The days felt like weeks and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I kept going to the store asking for it until they finally had it big_smile

I was super disappointed after finishing HL2 Ep. 2 when there was no sequel, tbh. But I don't usually dote on that kind of thing

I've been thinking that the next Half Life will be Valve's way of showing off Steam OS

The Black Mesa logo is the lambda symbol and it's actually the inspiration for the last half of my username

You know, I kind of wonder how you guys hold up while waiting for the next Legend of Zelda game. You guys get extremely impatient sometimes? How so, if yes?

Depends on the Zelda game. The next one I'm quite excited for, but I wouldn't really say impatient. I rarely play video games any more so impatience isn't really something I feel waiting for them. Just interested in how it'll turn out

I was waiting for NFS Underground 3 to come out, EA didn't make one last year because of the project that everyone was asking about, and trying to put the game in high quality for XBOX ONE and PS4 is kinda like a challenge. They said that NFS U3 is possible, but setting it up to HD (1080p) wasn't. and yes, they're still working on it.

The problem is that other PC games like project cars are quite a challenge for NFS to deal with. Also Forza Horizon 2 is rumored to make its way to PC too.

Well, there is one game called Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition which I was very upset to get when it finally comes out. Then I found out it was on next-gen consoles only. Then I got *bleep*ed at Capcom and will be until' eternity. The end.
