Games You're Anticipating for 2015

Even though I'm a new guy right here, I didn't find anything interesting about Spyro to talk about yet. Regardless, I joined just because I like him, but I just want to let you know a really good promising game I'm anticipating for this year:

It's probably the one game that'd convince me that the mainstream FPS just isn't thrilling enough.

What other games do you anticipate?

Re: Games You're Anticipating for 2015

Hey, welcome to the forum! The General section here gets a lot more traffic than Spyro talk anyway. :P

Splatoon looks pretty good so far. I'm not one to play online shooters personally, but I can see it being very successful for Nintendo. Though I hope that they optimize the online mode better than they have in Smash 4

Personally I'm looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zelda Wii U, and the new Fire Emblem game. I would say Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne as well, but seeing as I'm not going to be owning a PS4 anytime soon, I can't get too hyped for those.

Re: Games You're Anticipating for 2015

Well, if you have a PC, there's also the upcoming Mirror's Edge. Of course, they didn't say if they'd release it this year, but it's probably extremely worth it, especially since the original was spectacular. I'm mentioning on the off chance that it gets announced for a 2015 release.

No way my laptop could handle a modern PC game though, lol. I have been wanting to give the first Mirror's Edge a try for some time, but lately I haven't had much time for games sadly.

Re: Games You're Anticipating for 2015

I'm not getting a lot of these games. But Splatoon, New Fire Emblem, Star Fox, Legend of Zelda, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi's Wolly World, and Assassin's Creed Victory! Just to name a few. Also maybe the new Halo Guardians.

Did not know that was a thing until now...here's a link to Insomniac's website about it for those curious. It's promising that they are working so closely with the movie team. I wonder if they'll simultaneously release the movie and game? (supposedly being released sometime in 2015)

It's a possibility. I think they've hinted at it. Pretty cool to see the game remade. To tie in with the movie.

The Ratchet & Clank thing is a remake of the first one ever? Wow, Insomniac. I think you're being too clung onto the series.

Re: Games You're Anticipating for 2015

I dunno, I think it could still be good! The last few games they've released haven't been that successful from what I've heard, and a lot of them have been really short. Maybe this will be like a reboot, and they'll start making "real" Ratchet and Clank games again.

I'm personally waiting for Tales of Zestiria. big_smile We'll see if I ever have time to play it, though.

Re: Games You're Anticipating for 2015

Yeah, the last couple of Ratchet games just haven't lived up to A Crack in Time. I don't have an issue with them starting fresh though, and the movie origin story seems like as good an excuse as any to try it out. Basically I'm hopeful but skeptical, since Insomniac's recent titles haven't been all that fantastic.

Re: Games You're Anticipating for 2015

You know. I wonder why they never did a crossover between. Spyro and Rachet & Clank. Would have been cool. Being Insomniac's two most iconic characters could have worked. Oh well.

But then Universal just had to screw us over, didn't they?

I know it does suck. But least we got the originals and old and new Rachet & Clank.

I personally would make an exception for Into the Nexus, that one was pretty sweet

Re: Games You're Anticipating for 2015

Yeah I liked Into the Nexus too, but it wasn't nearly at the same quality as ACiT was imo. It was more of the same Ratchet (which is good), but it just didn't seem as polished and was super short in comparison.

I can't wait to see what the planets and levels will look like in the Ps4 game. yikes

Re: Games You're Anticipating for 2015

The games improve drastically after the first one since they added strafing. I would definitely recommend getting the HD collection on PS3 if you're at all interested.

And then Tools of Destruction and Crack in Time since Crack in Time is the best in the series

Need For Speed Underground 3. EA didn't build a Need for Speed in 2014 because they're working on a Need For Speed that everyone was talking about. And it took them a long while.

EA is treating the series better than Activision is treating Call of Duty. I love those guys.
