i'm inclined to think that an orientation isn't inherently wrong, it's more what you do with it.

a simple thought of breaking the laws of marriage isn't sin - it's just the devil putting ideas into your head. you have the choice to disagree with it and try to get the thought out of your head. when you dwell on it or accept it, then it becomes sin.

gay marriage isn't supported by the Bible, but remember that adultery and divorce aren't, either, and even "straight" people do those. but if a straight person obeys those rules, he or she isn't guilty of those specific things. so it appears, to me anyway, that a homosexual who refrains from certain things for the sake of the kingdom would be in the right, just like a heterosexual who refrains for the same reason. and then there are all the other issues in our world that we have to face that aren't related to romance or marriage, of which i'm certain both sides are guilty. as i said before, we all have things we can improve on.

i'm not sure about the second part, he did seem to be sort of implying that, but he didn't say that first part at all.

So what you're saying is that because heterosexuality is how we are alive, and homosexuality is not, it's wrong. By this logic, spaghetti is wrong, as it is not responsible for how we are alive.
AKA: Homosexuality is merely another thing that does not affect you, yourself, in any way. So complaining about it, or trying to condemn it is idiotic and downright locoguy107-ey.

Food and water feeds our bodies in order for us to stay alive, without it we would die. But i don't condemn homosexuality, i am not religious so i have nothing against it, its quite normal actually to be attracted to something, whether one likes it or not is another case. The point is to have a thelogical discussion if there is a logical interpretation about it, and not cry about it as if it was a club where you can do whatever you like, since its considered a belief and all that.

I would simply suggest "Civil Marriage" to be constitutional legal in terms of an alternative non religious marriage, and discuss this matter further from there.

just because something doesn't affect you doesn't mean it shouldn't be addressed, or isn't important. whether homosexuality is in that spectrum is debatable as far as society's concerned, but i just really don't like when people use that "it doesn't affect you" argument for things.

I wasn't explicitly stating that his argument was or wasn't invalid, I was just being pedantic

though I hear people say "well I don't like that argument" a lot without really commenting on why the argument isn't valid

Flapjacks' argument isn't really that invalid, I don't think he's saying "It doesn't affect you personally so don't talk about it", it's more like "It doesn't negatively affect people in general and you're talking about it in a relatively negative manner by referring to it as unnatural", but that's just how I interpret it
