We had to be re-admitted to the hospital for a few nights because he is jaundiced due to being born so early. They have him under some lights that are supposed to help, but the doctor is saying it's not improving as much as she expected, so she has to run more tests, and we have to stay another night. He seems perfectly healthy right now, but it's possible he might have some conditions that are slowing the decline of the jaundice. sad Apparently a test for something called GGT came back elevated.

I'm recovering well, so at least there's that. I wanted to try not using the epidural (pain killer), but that... just wasn't going to happen. I ended up needing one stitch which is almost fully healed, and my strength is starting to return. Mostly I'm just tired from lack of sleep and worried about the baby's health and other stuff.

I would do it all again; he's completely worth everything we've had to go through and more. I just hope they can figure out what's wrong. And everyone keeps telling me it's not my fault, but I can't help wondering if I did something wrong during pregnancy that made the baby come too early.

I hope everything continues to be alright with you and the baby, I'm sure you did nothing wrong during your pregnancy, things happen and it's not your fault. I'm here if you need to talk to me as a friend. smile :) I'll continue praying for you and the baby and keep you all in my thoughts.

Thank you guys. smile We went home today and are going in for one last (hopefully) test for jaundice tomorrow morning. They ended up coming to the conclusion that the elevated test was probably nothing to worry about but want us to keep an eye on his condition just in case. I'm feeling better about the whole thing now.

We've been back home for about a day and a half now. I love this little guy so much and I am so happy we were able to come back home with him being alright. Stormy is such a great mom too, she works so hard to care for and protect him.

Also I am a diaper changing master. I clean poop like it's nobody's business
