What Did You Get for Christmas? (2014)
Remember that Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i controller I told you about? Well, I got it. It's survived its first two days, and I'm loving how it gives me more flexibility than the touchscreen does alone. I have a bit of a problem when playing Real Racing 3 using the controller, though (only app with a response delay so far), but it otherwise makes games like Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath so much more exciting to play! Seriously, check it!

I would have taken a video, but I don't want to make the effort to upload a really long gameplay video. Instead, here's a video that shows an insight of what it feels like to play the game with a controller:
If you don't have a controller, then your gameplay will be a bit more awkward. You would have to shake the phone to recharge health, and do a tilt control to reload ammo. Also, these onscreen buttons show up:

Obviously, you'll still get the sick graphics and whatnot, but it can be a bit more of a hassle, especially on hard mode. If you go hard without the controller...good luck with that.
Other games I've tried and work with the controller:

Limbo
Bastion
Impossible Road
Asphalt 8 (There's actually a new sick course that'll only be there for a short while. Asphalt 8 is free, so if you want to race in that awesome course -- Sector 8 -- GET IT.)
Real Racing 3 (So far, this is the only one I know to support more than one controller. Unfortunately, I don't have enough to try local splitscreen, but as time will come, I should be able to do it.)
And like I said, there's a list of C.T.R.L.i-compatible games in a website, so if you actually like the hardcore idea, you can go here: madcatz.com/compatibility/ctrli/
What did you get, guys?

Re: What Did You Get for Christmas? (2014)
Nice; the controller doesn't look half bad. Have fun with it.
As for me, I got a much-needed set of Craftsman tools and a steel toolbox, a bit of cash, and a really warm sweater/jacket (which solidifies the fact the my little sister has much better fashion sense than I do). And as a gift for myself, I've sold about 10 videos games on Amazon and made close to $200, so that's been nice. I also get to activate my new Moto G tomorrow since my phone contract will be up.

Got a bunch of new socks (unlike many other people I like getting socks, especially fancy patterned ones like I got from her) and a Wii U (that one was an early gift) from Stormy. From others it's been mostly baby stuff and money for baby stuff for me. That is exciting as well. I spent most of today setting up the baby's future room ![]()

Now I SERIOUSLY want a Facebook or Instagram account. I want to see that baby, even if you're twenty-whatever and I'm 17.

You could have said that it'd be Loco-disapproved. You know I'm still sensitive to that stuff, right? Good thing you're being sarcastic, even if your sister means well, which I appreciate anyway. That said, I like your other gifts. You're actually not alone with the Grinch thing, since I have Grinch boxers.

Re: What Did You Get for Christmas? (2014)
I got a new computer because I got mad at a Steam game and broke my old Macbook Pro, so I got a Macbook Air now, which is very nice and runs a lot faster than my old Macbook ever did. Also got candy and some money!
I have changed my username from Justin Long Fanatic to EricChristianOlsenFanatic, so Justin Long Fanatic is my old name on this site, and EricChristianOlsenFanatic is my new one.

Re: What Did You Get for Christmas? (2014)
Loco, as I've said before, I know my grammar isn't, always going to be the best. I know that. But you don't have to hound me, every time. I make, a mistake, My wording won't always be right, So I hope that's okay! Now can you please stop acting like the grammar, police and let's just focus on this. I'm not annoyed, this is just becoming tiresome, I will make mistakes sometimes, it's how it is. Please except, it and move on. Cool?
Alright well, glad everyone got what they wanted.

Re: What Did You Get for Christmas? (2014)
I had an awesome Christmas. I got all kinds of new pretty outfits, two pairs of boots, a pair of muck boots, a few home goods for me and my fiancé, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Luigi U, a giant soft horse blanket, two CD's of my favorite band (Within Temptation), a draft horse riding headstall, a new comforter, some cash, and all kinds of other cool stuff.

I love my staffies!

Re: What Did You Get for Christmas? (2014)
LocoGuy, i finally got around to taking pictures of the Spyro things today. (note that most of the images are pretty big, in case that would slow down your computer or something.)
first up is "Spyro Checkers". if you look carefully at the game board in the third picture, it's actually a three-piece puzzle you have to put together.
second is a light-up toy. there's a button on Spyro's chest (not shown) that you press.
third is a maze kind of game. you put the cards into the back of the plastic thing, and you have to move the little red circle around the playing area.
instructions for each game are on the backs of each card, but i didn't get pictures of those.
last is a Sparx toy with an admittedly really weird face. you pull on his tail (which is attached by a string) and it sends the blue circle thing / blades into the air.

Re: What Did You Get for Christmas? (2014)
Hey! I got that light up one in a Wendy's kid's meal when I was really young. I wish I knew where that thing was. If I could, I'd go back in time and make sure I put it in a place where I'd be able to find it later. -_-
