Dust: An Elysian Tail (Mark spoilers!)

I just bought a game called Dust: An Elysian Tail. I saw a couple of screenshots and saw this cute little character:

Now I am itching to get to play it! It's downloading right now. I've read a couple of reviews that basically said it's a very creative artistic game. That's what caught my attention.

Haha, that's what I've been calling it. tongue I also call Elder Scrolls games that because the first time I saw KingLambda play Oblivion, his character was a cheetah guy. And because it annoys him. big_smile

Anyway... when I first saw the trailer and artwork, I didn't think it could be that good because they looked like they came from deviantART or something. I've heard nothing but good about it now, though, so I wouldn't mind trying it sometime.

Have beaten this game on Xbox 360 on the hardest difficulty, first normal then the hardest. Its kinda neat ^^

I don't normally purchase games, that's the thing. Anywya, I'm a bit past 10% through the game. I'm the kind of player that will pay more attention to the environments and story than the combat. To me the combat just slows down the gameplay so I can play the game longer (which is very nice, the longer the better). And, well, gives more purpose to the game.

It's amazing. Interesting story, really cool environments, varying enemies, wonderful soundtrack. To me, it just all fits together well. I'm not used to side-scrollers but I gotta say this one's an exception.

I think I got this game for free from an Indie Bundle at some point. Haven't played it yet. The art kind of put me off, but it does look like a fun game. I might have to try it out once I get finals out of the way.

Yeah. The sword part was weird at first but I kinda just ignored it. I'm not a fan of magic or weird looking swords (especially those ridiculously oversized ones in Jap culture) but I got used to it.
