Playstation's 20th Anniversary
WOO!! It's the Playstation's 20th Anniversary!
Do you all have any special memories with this system...besides Spyro lol...
I always have a nostalgic rush whenever I play Crash Bandicoot 3, or Pac-Man World
I'm still collection Playstation 1 games to this day, I don't think there has been any other console that has given me more joy...
The new theme they have for PS4 is amazing too, that start-up sounds just....just....

Re: Playstation's 20th Anniversary
I still vaguely remember the night i got my first video game. My mom had brought home a ps2, along with Crash Bash and Spongebob supersponge. She helped me hook it up to the TV, and we started the ps2 up and formatted it, and then i played Crash bash. I remember hearing the ps1 logo jingle and it made me tingle with joy. And the game was fun. D*** memories

Spongebob Squarepants: Supersponge had an amazing soundtrack, one of my favorites...
I'm actually in the process of getting The Simpsons Wrestling and Crash Bash (I had this game, but it was sold behind my back...ugh...)

Re: Playstation's 20th Anniversary
I don't actually remember what my first game for my Playstation was. I know it was my first console, and that I had Spyro, Resident Evil 2 (Horrible idea for a child,) Crash, but I don't remember which I had first, since I was so young.

Re: Playstation's 20th Anniversary
Wow, I can't believe this console came out when I was 3. o_o I knew it was old, but not that old.
I remember my family getting our PSX from one of my uncles when he decided to get a PS2. I guess since the PS2 came out in 2000, I would have had to be at least 9. He also gave us a couple controllers, some games, and a GameShark with a code book. The only games I can remember were Monopoly and Risk, but now that I think about it there were probably "mature" games that dad confiscated them before I ever saw them.
I also remember being completely mystified by the GameShark and the codes, having no idea how they worked.
We rented Spyro 2 from Blockbuster before buying Spyro 1, but we didn't have a memory card. I asked my dad what I should do with my game when it was time to return it, and he said I should just end the game by losing all my lives. So I did... but of course it didn't just make me start over from the beginning.
Looking back I have no idea why I thought it was a problem, lol.

Re: Playstation's 20th Anniversary
My first game for it was Crash Bandicoot Warped. I asked my mom to get me some other game, I don't even remember what it was, then she came back with Warped because the employee at the store said it was a much more popular game. I warmed up to Crash pretty quickly after that. This was only my second ever video game actually, the first being Pokemon Blue. I kinda miss the 90s. Not really, but kinda.

I didn't even lived when it came out XD And still it was like half of my childhood xD I got my PSX from my uncle Peter, along with tens of Euro Demo discs ^.^ I spent hours playing games like Tomba!, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, or MediEvil - aah, there's too many to count xD
And I still remember that I played on it every morning before going to the kindergarten XD
Never ask what I'd do for a klondike bar. No one wants to go down that road.

Re: Playstation's 20th Anniversary
Now if Sony can get out of the trouble they are in right now (Hackers releasing their films and database info via torrents) then they can celebrate.

I don't get why they keep adding the social media features when it's clear no one wants them.
I mean, if I really wanted to tell my friends about every game I was playing, I would just post about it myself.

Re: Playstation's 20th Anniversary
Maybe they should take, what they learned here and expand upon improving that for PS5. And next Xbox.
