Wii U

Who here has a Wii U? We've had one for about two weeks now and I thought it'd be cool to add a few people as friends. Let's also use this thread to discuss the console and the games we play on it.

Re: Wii U

*Raises hand.* Me. I'm not really into the friend sharing thing. But you guys have fun. Anyway it's not the best console in the world. But I love The GamePad, Console itself and games! Mario Kart 8 Super Mario 3D World and Super Smash Bros for Wii U are real treasures! And my three favourite titles on it. Off-TV Play playing with GamePad and the game's playing on TV whatever it's a blast!

Smash Wii U, Is my favourite Wii U title with Mario Kart 8 at a close second and Super Mario 3D World third! But I think some future titles like new Starfox Legend of Zelda and Splatoon and Yoshi's Wolly World will be great too!

Re: Wii U

Don't have the console (Got a PS4 instead), but if a new F-Zero game is announced for it, I will go to the nearest retailer near by and steal...I mean purchase a Wii U that same day...

The console gets hated on due to it's "inferior" technology, but it makes up for it with triple AAA games. As much as I love my PS4 the Wii U has a much better library right now...

Re: Wii U

Agreed. Smash, Mario abd Mario Kart are incredible. Also new Starfox and Zelda coming up will be great!

Re: Wii U

I'd LOVE to get a Wii U from GameStop, but I fear my least favorite thing will come as a pack-in.

That darn Nintendo trying to stick third-party games they had nothing to do with the development of into my Wii U package. Even the existence of such games makes me shave my neckbeard and hang up my fedora. Such a tragedy. Screw the millions of children who enjoy said games, I wish that they didn't exist just for my own personal happiness.

Re: Wii U

if you get it and don't like it, you could sell it online (if you have permission / the ability to do that?) and get some money back.

but without even getting into that, i've heard nothing but bad things about GameStop and how much they rip people off, i wouldn't go there in the first place.

Re: Wii U

Yeah, the only reason why I do that is because I expect the demo units to be on. More than half the time, they're not, and when one of them is on, it's the ONE (no pun in10did). Plus, when I have the temptation to buy something, I resist it 90% of the time, even if the games seem to be potentially satisfying (I want to get Mass Effect SO *bleep* BAD).

Re: Wii U

Mass Effect 1 / 2 = Good
Mass Effect 3 = Good until the end and then it just literally fell in a garbage can.

Re: Wii U

Mass Effect 2 and 3 is kinda the same scale in terms of gameplay. The story was was good. Good games.

Mass Effect 1 is the best. Just explore planets and all that stuff, and just being awesome while running upwards with a cool song in the background cool
Just the single and coolest thing!

I haven't got a WiiU, but i have tried it. Its sorta different, but i'll just see what game comes out

Re: Wii U

To all Wii U owners, myself included: apparently, tere's been an issue, with the system's memory. It bricks the console and causes the GamePad and Wii U to be unresponsive, after receiving this error code. If you're playing games like Smash Wii U, Mario Kart 8, or Super Mario 3D World, please be careful as you might be unable to play your gameplay following this. Do not attempt to reformat your console, as that makes it worse. If you experience this issue, send your system in for repair and hopefully you'll get a new one, which you should. But everyone please be careful. Nintendo's looking into the issue and trying to find a solution, but be careful. Maybe you should hold off on playing until it is resolved.

And hopefully it will be in time.

Dude, I have no idea if you messed up for the purpose of emphasizing your statement, or what. That being said, the stated issue is a big one. That's another reason why I'm skeptical about the Wii U right now.

Re: Wii U

Any idea what causes the error code to occur? I'll just have to stick with Hyrule Warriors until it's resolved.

Re: Wii U

Let's not pick on people's grammar, Locoguy.

That's pretty scary, though. Good thing we only have Mario Kart out of those games. I think we can deal with not playing that until they resolve the issue.

From what I've read Lambda, They say it's something having to do with the system memory itself. But no mention of it's the Wii U itself or something else. Hopefully we get a resolve sometime soon. Here's a list of games affected. It shouldn't stop any one from playing them. But everyone just be careful. And have Nintendo's repair number at the ready, In case.

Anyway games affected.

.Scribblenauts.
.Batman Arkham Origins.
.Super Smash Bros for Wii U.
.Mario Kart 8.
.Super Mario 3D World.
.The Legend of Zelda The Wind Walker HD.
.Hyrule Warriors.
.Call of Duty Black Ops 2.
Also if you, try to configure you're Wii U.

Or go to Data Management. That causes issues.

This is truly, a horrible time for this to happen. I'll keep you guys updated. On the issue. But let's just hang tight. I'm sure we'll be able to smash, race, and adventure ECT are way to victory again in no time! smile
