General Movie Discussion thread
Hey dudes! Just felt like making a movie thread because I am a huge film fan myself. I recently saw Dumb and Dumber To last weekend and despite the critics not liking it, I thought it was a fun film to watch. It is no where as funny and inspired as the first film but it's a worthy successor to the original that released 20 years ago.
As of 2014, there really is nothing else I want to see the final quarter of this year except the final part of The Hobbit due for release next month. 2014 wasn't really a great year of film, IMO. The only films I could say I really enjoyed were: The Lego Movie, Godzilla, Captain America 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, Fury, and Dumb and Dumber To. But 2015 however... Oh my goodness... I'm overwhelmed of all the good films coming out next year. I'm looking forward to these films in 2015:
-Ratchet and Clank -The best film of 2015 already. I'm a big Ratchet fan so obviously I cannot wait to see this. The fact that our pals from Insomniac are heavily involved and that fact that this is truly the first CGI film based on one Video Game makes this film a winner. The team at Rainmaker are being very true to the Ratchet universe from what I've seen so far. If you like SPYRO and have never played Ratchet I recommend getting into the series. It's the spiritual successor in every way possible.
-Avengers 2
-I guess I kinda want to see that new Spongebob movie...
-Star Wars episode 7- Because why not?
So far as you could tell I am really looking forward to Ratchet and Clank. Any films you members want to discuss? Please feel free to leave a reply.

Gravity (2013) was one of my favorite movies of the year, if not the best movie ever. Space. How else can I descr - oh, that's right - SPACE! Emotional moments that push the story so forward that it kept me excited. Yes, I found a good one.

I don't see very many films, but I have to agree with Locoguy (!) on this one. Gravity was pretty fantastic. I think it was the last movie I saw in theaters. I'll see Guardians of the Galaxy some time soon since I've heard nothing but good things about that movie.
Really looking forward to the Ratchet and Clank movie too, assuming it actually comes to fruition. Huge fan of the series, and from the trailers, they seem to be doing everything right.
Oh and I also redeemed my entire childhood existence by watching Space Jam for the first time a few months ago... so yeah.

John Wick was excellent, if you're into action movies. John Wick himself makes James Bond look like a soldier from Rambo. The movie also has this 80's style to it, despite taking place today, as far as I know.
I'm not sorry if I offended you.

I have to admit I only really see Marvel movies and family movies (Pixar and such) these days. Looking forward to the new Star Wars quite a bit.
