What song cringes

For me its
- Amazing Grace

Mostly female voice. If a female sings it, no matter what voice i just cringes. But it sounds a tiny bit better if a male sings it. But i just end up with stop. NOoooo!

This'll probably sound pretty hipster-y, but most pop music made nowadays all sounds exactly the same to me; feel-good songs trying too hard to sound philosophical or deep, extremely repetitive, and annoying.

An example would be that "we are young" song I refuse to find; I'm pretty sure I hate that song more than any other.

Edit: My post probably seems pretty pessimistic now, but when I started writing it and minimized my window for a while, apparently the title was changed to "What song cringes" from something like "What song do you not like"

basically any popular song you can think of, and i feel so ridiculous saying that. it's pretty much true, though.

i mean don't get me wrong, the underground has stuff that's just as bad, even worse actually, but today's popular music is just awful to me.

It seems like this song should be completely inoffensive, but I feel secondhand embarrassment whenever I hear it. I think it has to do with how she's singing in the third person while obviously talking about herself. Just feels so awkward.

I'm gonna have to agree with Flapjacks, 36, and Stormy. Most pop music from the last 10 years or so has just been terrible. Sure, every here and there there's one I like, but then the radios, commercials, department stores, etc. play it so non stop I get sick of it almost immediately.

"Let it Go" from Frozen makes me cringe. how in the world did that song get so popular?

I honestly enjoyed it in the beginning, but, like a lot of things, it got blown out of proportion and people were acting like it was just the greatest thing ever doing countless covers and whatnot, and it just got annoying.
