Re: I'm buying a PS3

Since you mentioned other Ratchet and Clank games, definitely get A Crack in Time. Seriously good game.

I would recommend the Tales of series (Symphonia Chronicles and Xillia on PS3), but judging by your other games, I don't know if it would quite be your thing.

Re: I'm buying a PS3

Don't own a PS3 myself, but I can tell you that you're going to be wasting your money if you buy Diablo 3. Unless the PS3 version is significantly better (which I doubt,) then it's not worth it. The game itself is mediocre at best, the skill system is boring and way too forgiving, and the loot is also way too forgiving. Overall, the game is really forgiving, which is not what Diablo 2 was about at all. If you die, you respawn 5 seconds away from where you died with full health, and the only thing you lose is 10% of your items' durability (which can be refilled at any blacksmith in any town for a cheap amount of gold.) In Diablo 2, when you died, you spawned back at town, far away from your body, so you hope you'd better had dropped a town portal near your corpse, or died near a waypoint. And on top of that, you dropped all gold you were carrying. In Nightmare mode, you'd lose gold anyway, and in Hell mode, you actually lost experience points. You couldn't go down in level, but you could drop yourself all the way back to square one in your level. Just realized how much i'm ranting, though. Overall, Diablo 3 was boring, and I never beat it, as a result. I heard Reaper of Souls makes it better, but having to pay 30 more dollars to make your sucky 60 dollar game good is not worth it, and I don't even think the DLC is out on PS3 yet. Just play Diablo 2. If you want a more challenging Diablo 2, play the Median XL mod. It doesn't support Battle.net, but you can set up a Hamachi server and play with your friends using that.

Re: I'm buying a PS3

If your into first person shooters Call of Duty is for you It may seem repetitive but their always adding something new.

Black Ops 2 and Ghosts especially.

Also  If you like Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper The Jak and Daxter Collection and Sly Cooper Collection to add on to Sly 4 would work.

Clock already mentioned Sly 4 so you could add that if you desire.

Rachet and Clank Into The Nexus takes place before Future series so that might be good too!

Re: I'm buying a PS3

I've heard Uncharted is a really high-quality game. I think it might be a Playstation exclusive game too.

Re: I'm buying a PS3

Nice! Hope you enjoy your PS3. The only games I've played from your list are the Ratchet and Clank ones, haha.

My suggestions (in no particular order)

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time for sure when you finish the other two Future games; as Stormy said, that game is phenomenal. And if you didn't get to play the Ratchet and Clank games on PS2, the Ratchet and Clank HD Collection is a cheap option to get all three games.

Infamous and Infamous 2 are also really fun open-world games with superpowers quick traversal. Infamous 2 is a bit more polished than the first one, but they're both worth playing.

You could give Dark Souls (or Dark Souls II) a try. These games are tough--like they'll kick your *bleep* throughout, but just finishing DaS recently it was really satisfying experience with cool bosses as well as co-op and PvP options if you want to play online (which you can for free on PSN smile )

The Last of Us is a must. Probably the best game so far from one of Playstation's best third party developers, Naughty Dog.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune , Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception are all good games. I found that each game got successively better. Solid third person shooters from Naughty Dog with a cinematic-style story.

The Resistance series is also pretty solid if you like FPS games.

Re: I'm buying a PS3

Srsly? You want me to play Skylanders?

And Paranoia - Thank you! ^_^ I've heard about Uncharted and INFamous, and i played all Ratchet & Clank games on my PS2. And i though about playing DotD on PS3, to see how much did the graphics improved from PS2.
And i'll give The Last Of Us a try, thanks!

There's not just Skylanders. There's also Dawn of the Dragon. It's worth checking out.

Just because this is a Spyro forum doesn't mean everything has to be Spyro related. tongue We are in the 'General' section after all.

CuttingEdge: No problem! I bought my PS3 a few years ago and I don't regret it at all. There are a lot of great exclusives on that machine. Now is definitely a great time to buy since you'll be able to get a lot of games (and the system) for pretty cheap. Also keep in mind that if you buy a new PS3, it won't be backwards compatible with PS2. I bought the 120 GB model and it plays PS1 games off the disk, but not PS2. Might need to do a little research if you're interested in that. Otherwise just make sure you keep your PS2.

Re: I'm buying a PS3

I heard that theese with chromed disc drive are backwards compatible. I had two PS2 consoles (one SCPH-90004 and one SCPH-70004) and i sold the 90004 one because i can't softmod it (new softmod-proof BIOS version) Now i'm selling some of my stuff on the internet and it goes pretty well. Very soon i'll have enough money to get it.

It's after actually. Talwyn and the two old robots are in it and they're introduced in Tools of Destruction.

I mean DmC: Devil May Cry (5) not Devil May Cry 1

And out of the subject: I'll get that PS3 home since Monday. I think that i'll get Ratchet & Clank games first, because here they cost only 30 PLN (about 7,50 $) on a CD in a platinum version. When i'll get a nice sum of money, then i'll start to think about Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Diablo III
