Comic book movies

SUPERMAN SPOILERS WITHIN SPOILER

Hidden text

The later half of this comic demonstrates a huge problem I have with a lot of comic book movies, Man of Steel being the worst offender. You'd almost think super heroes and villains are all actually part of a big conspiracy in which they belong to a secret society that wants to tear down all American landmarks and demolish entire cities, but they use the whole battle of good vs. evil as a pretense for it. That said, I do really enjoy superhero films. Well, the Marvel ones at least. Batman is the only series I really have much interest in from DC, and only for the villains anyway.

What comic book movies do you like/hate and why?

Re: Comic book movies

Definitely The Marvel ones for me as well. But I did enjoy the Batman ones. Truth be told I only saw The a Dark Knight Rises but I know all three were good.

I grew up loving and watching Batman, Superman, Spider-Man The Avengers ECT. I still do their everything heroes should be but they do have flaws but their still awesome. Still the whole battle of good and evil and city being destroyed thing just so said battle could take place. Confuses me too.

Re: Comic book movies

So superman should of let that innocent family die! -no wait thats dumb.

I don't like much marvel things, xmen i never liked much, and haven't caught up with it, neither did I bother with the other 5 billion marvel films out there.

I saw the hulk film...that was just god awful!

Thor 2 was ok but ruined Purely because of the dreadful fans (EVERYWHERE I FECKING LOOK TOM HIDDLESTON)

XD so yer I'm biased towards DC more, but film wise...concerned about, I did enjoy Man of Steel, but Batman v Superman just looks to crowded, I'll have to see how it is myself.

The same is going for the new Spiderman, I loved the first, and the second but it feels like that is going to get crowded soon, still at lest theres no Mary Jane and Emo peter bull!

Also
John, check out the rest of the dark knight trilogy you will not regret it!

Re: Comic book movies

Re: Comic book movies

I would've liked Dark Knight, but then the clown came hmm.
Edit: Imagine if i turned a show made for children, but added some... explicit content.
Age ratings goes up, usually hmm

Re: Comic book movies

Man of Steel was stupid but enjoyably stupid. But yeah, I only ever liked the Batman films by DC but I loved most, i fnot all, of the Marvel movies. It is more 'realistic' and they actually remember that action isn't everything

Harsh, blunt, and even evil on many occasions. What's not to like about me?

Re: Comic book movies

Oh god the marvel banter -cringes-

I hated the first Batman film, like i HATED IT (the Tim Burton one) but I loved Batman returns!

Batman and Robin bores me to tears but I must say, Batman and Robin... is the BEST guilty pleasure!

And a blessing in disguise since there were planning to make the sequel have Harley-Quinn in it (Don't get me wrong I love Harley Quinn) as the jokers daughter.

Re: Comic book movies

I doubt I'll be able too I already know their all good so good enough for me. I also kind of am fond of DC more but Marvel does rock.

Also seems Ant-Man is gonna struggle to see the light of day (and I am sorry but Ant-man?! Really?!)
