Not gonna lie, I'm pretty hyped for the gen 3 remakes. My first Pokemon game was Emerald, and it's still my favorite.

Flapjacks: Did you play DS1? I just finished the game recently and really enjoyed it. Just ordered Dark Souls 2 from Amazon and should be coming in the mail soon. PS3 though cause I'm pretty sure my laptop would not be able to run it very well. sad

I played DS1 for an hour or so on a friend's PC. It doesn't run very well on his PC, which is much better than mine, and I don't have a console with internet access (besides my Wii,) so I never bought DS1. I highly doubt I could get it to run well on my PC, even with mods.

Ah, yeah I heard the port was really bad. I've heard DSfix mod or something makes it pretty playable. The Blighttown area on PS3 has horrendous framerate issues too, now that I remember. I recommend it if you can get it on sale or something.

Wait, Gen 3 no postgame? I literally spent hundreds of hours getting all the symbols in the Battle Frontier.

Oh I mean X/Y had no post game(Surprisingly little outside the Looker sideplot) and I can't wait to experience Emerald post game plus some new extras giving its the HG/SS treatment.

Oh yeah, then I agree. X and Y had some extra stuff, but I wasn't interested in doing hardly any of it.

I'm wondering if they're going to use the story from Emerald where Aqua and Magma are both antagonists, or if they'll stick to the R/S storyline. Also they could do something cool with mirage island, since I never really figured out what that was about. But yeah Emerald's battle frontier improved would be incredible. I just wish they would make it easier to transfer Pokemon. I have a lot of old EV trained and shiny Pokemon in HeartGold, but I would need 2 DS's to be able to trade them up to X and Y. hmm

Even if I could get DS1 on sale, I doubt it would run well on my PC. That was my point tongue

I did see it on sale once for 15 dollars or something, and I almost bought it, but I didn't. Once I heard that Dark Souls 2 came out for PC, and that it improved over the first game a lot, especially in the performance area, I bought it, and I've been having a lot of fun with it, although a couple of minutes ago I took a break because an easy boss 1-hit killed me from 3/4 health with a ranged attack that seemed to do barely any damage before. -_-

Anyway, I can't wait for the Gen 3 remakes. Emerald has always been my favorite in the series.

I love gen 3, and I've wanted a remake forever so I wouldn't have to worry about that stupid internal battery, but I only just recently realized... they're going to be using the 3D graphics like in X and Y. Call me a hipster or whatever you want, but I really preferred the sprites. sad I liked that they didn't try to show off fancy camera angles on a tiny screen. I liked that your character wasn't so huge that they took up a fourth of the screen.

I didn't mind the X and Y 3D stuff so much. Most of the game wasn't actually in 3D mode on the 3DS, I think it was just cutscenes. They probably went all out on the weird camera angles because they were trying to show off their new game engine and stuff. If they kept sprites and just improved the graphics I'd be down with that too though.

Remixed Hoenn music tho. :D

By 3D I meant the 3D character models and other graphics that replaced the sprites, not the 3DS gimmick. tongue I usually just leave that off.

Oh, I see what you're saying. I almost never have the 3D on either. With a small screen on the 3DS, sprites do make more sense. A full-3d Pokemon game on the Wii U on the other hand would be pretty freaking cool.

On an unrelated note, my junior year of college is officially finished! Turned in my last essay today, and worked my last on-campus shift.

It's way too much trouble to bother keeping the 3DS at the perfect angle for the 3D to look good. hmm And that sounds really awesome... if I had a Wii U. tongue

I'm not sure about if this is true but there have been rumours of a Pokemon fighting game called Pokken. Where you could fight other Pokemon as Pokemon like Blaziken and Lucario. There was even footage last year that might support this.

It was also recently revealed the Pokemon company trademarked Pokken and some other Pokken based title. This title is believed to be a Wii U Title. I would along with Super Smash Bros for Wii U which I finally decided to get. Sure would like a title like that.

It's not Pokemon Snap or a Wii U Version of a handheld Pokemon game but cool sounding.

It it utilized the Wii U GamePad and Wii U well it could be a great Pokemon title.

This is just a rumour take it with a grain of salt. As for me I like how the sprites are evolving. As games and times change. So will looks of characters it's happening in every Pokemon Game now. But that's just me.

Indeed could be called Pokken Fighters don't know. But the Pokemon company has evolved their different games as well. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. And Pokemon Snap being notable examples. They polish and work out all kinks in their games. Whether it works or not. The Pokemon company AKA Gamefreak would give it their best shot.

Of that you can be sure.

So which starter you guys gonna choose in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire? Me Treeko, He Grovyle and specially Sceptile are my fave grass types. And they got speed power and rock. Watch out Kyogre I'm coming for you.

What if the starters got mega evolutions? Mega Swampert would be such a beast. I'll pick mudkip because he was the first starter I chose, and raised to level 100.

i just wanted to mention this somewhere.

I've never thought I wanted to be anything besides a human and truly meant it, but I have questioned my humanity. I've never really thought too hard on the subject, because I don't think there's much of anything you can do about being who you are, so why tease yourself? Also, I walk on the balls of my toes all the time for no reason in particular. I've also always walked with both of my feet facing outward, which apparently isn't normal.
