Re: What was your day like?
Yesterday at school, the fire alarm went off, and everyone figured it was just some idiot pulling the alarm to make everyone go out to the field, but then today, it went off again in the morning, and after 30 minutes of waiting out in the field, (better than class, btw,) they figured out that whoever's the idiot that installed their bell system wired it with the fire alarm system, and it's started going haywire. It went off an additional two times after this morning, but we were told to ignore it.
I'm not sorry if I offended you.

Re: What was your day like?
The last couple of days for me have been way to great to be honest I honestly thought I was dreaming but everything's back to normal. The Super Smash Bros direct and Daniel Bryan rising to the top of the WWE and becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Rio 2 releasing are the highlights of my week.
Other then that meh. Pretty normal.

Re: What was your day like?
I had a full day yesterday. I spent the day at what used to be my grandmother's house (a 1970's double-wide). When she passed away in 2010 she left the house in one of my aunt's hands. Unfortunately she allowed on my my cousins and his wife to live there, and as a result the place was trashed. They never cleaned, the damaged the walls and they smoked. Anyways, my dad and another cousin spent the day gutting the bathroom. Their initial goal was to remove the nasty (if that can even describe it) bathtub, and they did. They hauled it out into the kitchen and was contemplating if fixing it was a good idea. I opposed and said the tub is too far gone. It was rusty underneath (water was flowing underneath it, which rotted the floor), rusty on the exterior, globed up with caulk and black and scummy on the inside. It's a shame really, that place never used to look like that when my grandmother was alive. It wasn't spotless but it was clean.
At the end of the day we went to Ponderosa for the last time. My dad asked about buying some of the items, so I may end up with that one picture I wanted mentioned in another thread. It just depends on what happens.

Re: What was your day like?
today i was walking on a newly-found trail outside of town and SPOILER'D for gore
in short, i hurt myself. i'm presumably fine now, my foot just hurts a lot and i can't walk on it very well because it hurts. i got it taken care of ASAP and was *out* of the ER in only a little over an hour after it happened.
but the point here is, this is why litter of any kind is bad. you would not believe how many nails, pieces of broken glass, etc. i see in and around town. it's disgusting.
if you have hazardous litter under any circumstances, DO NOT THROW IT ON THE GROUND AND LEAVE IT THERE
be responsible and pick it up.
i would advise against picking things up you didn't drop, unless you're close to a garbage/recycling bin or something. or unless you're like me and carry a bag around sometimes for that exact purpose.

Ugh, that's horrible.
Whoever did that was being irresponsible and lazy - does it really take that much effort to find a trash can?

Re: What was your day like?
well admittedly there wasn't necessarily a trash can nearby, but really, you don't just throw stuff like that (whatever it was) randomly onto a trail somewhere.
as for all the other stuff i see on which i *haven't* hurt myself, i don't know. sure our town's not necessarily overflowing with garbage / recycling bins, but they're there. there are also things like that inside your house. plus depending what day it is it's usually garbage day *somewhere* so people have bins sitting out, and i don't know if you're actually allowed to dump stuff in those, but if i see glass on the ground and there's a recycling bin, i'm not going to leave it on the ground or carry it around for another hour. Spyro doesn't have to deal with this. even the gnorcs and rhynocs have the common courtesy to pick up litter. and when he does have to pick stuff up, it's always money.

Re: What was your day like?
Ouch that sounds really painful. I Hope you're doing alright, man. It's good your trip to the ER was fast though, I've had some really slow experiences at the hospital.
I'm really amazed about how little consideration people have for others and just the earth in general. I saw all kinds of garbage around when I was doing landscaping work last summer. I even found a few broken alcohol bottles on the grounds of an elementary school. Or when people just throw stuff out the window of their cars when they're driving. Like it's really not that difficult to wait until you get to where you're going to throw it away...I live in a pretty dense urban area, so I guess that kind of thing is commonplace.

Re: What was your day like?
My dad used to work as one of those guys that carries all of your stuff when you're moving, and when he jumped off the truck, there happened to be a rusty nail sticking straight up out of a piece of wood. Tetanus shots and all that. I've heard horror stories about how big those shots are, although maybe that was just back then.
I'm not sorry if I offended you.

Re: What was your day like?
Paranoia: thanks. and yeah, usually the ER seems pretty slow. not too bad yesterday, though.
Flapjacks: that really sucks. why do people just leave that kind of stuff there? and the needle for the shot wasn't that big, no bigger than a normal needle, i don't think, though apparently tetanus shots can injure wherever they're injected, as the nurse had explained. "[it feels] like there's a bruise there, like it got punched." that's certainly true, my upper arm hurts a bit. no other issues, though.
i spent most of today lazing around the house because it hurts to walk on my left foot. it's definitely getting better, that's good. but just walking around the house is still basically too much.

Re: What was your day like?
thanks, Mr. John. and yeah. if people did that, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
it's getting better each day. i'm not really hobbling when i walk anymore, that's good. i can definitely walk on stairs better. i think the swelling's going down. my arm doesn't hurt anymore.
i'm getting pretty tired of staying inside all day, though.

Dang bro, a rusty nail in the foot sounds terrible. I'm glad it came along fine and you can walk. Knowing myself I'd just suck it up and pour hydrogen peroxide all over it.
If you wanna get out of the house I cna take you to the gun range. Ehhhhhh.

I've always been uneasy about needle like objects (not to mention rusty ones), I can't even imagine the pain that caused. Glad you're doing alright!

Re: What was your day like?
thanks guys. and it caused surprisingly little pain considering how much it's been hurting after the fact. i thought i just stepped on a thorny plant or a jagged rock or something at first. i don't have a problem with needles or things like that, but i can easily understand how someone would. and Swaffy, we've been putting hydrogen peroxide on it anyway. and sure, let's go to the gun range. as long as we know what's on the ground out there.
the swelling keeps going down, i had shoes on long enough to go to church tonight (Maundy Thursday / Holy Thursday). sometimes i can stand on it without it hurting *at all*.
once i'm better enough that i can take a shower without feeling the need to rest my foot from being on it "so much", i really want to see if my friend and i can go do something about that spot. that's not safe, and who knows who else is going to miss that and step on it.

Re: What was your day like?
I spent a short time at a house my parents are working on, but I asked to go home because I had a personal issue that I couldn't deal with there. Plus I bashed my knee on a nasty *bleep* bathtub that is sitting in the kitchen. It didn't cut the skin, but it left a red mark. It kinda hurts still (I cleaned it ASAP when I got home). Believe me, if you would have saw the tub you would have done the same.
It looks worse in real life. The picture almost makes it look clean compared. lol

This relative has no respect for anything. I feel bad that they had a couple of kids who lived there in those filthy conditions. The last time I was there my dad found a bottle of Mountain New in the toilet tank.

Re: What was your day like?
an update on the foot situation. my foot's basically been better for awhile now, and the other day my friend and i went out to that path again and moved the thing. it was a wooden board with nails sticking out of it. but the weird thing is, there were only nails near the *ends* of the board, on the left and right; none in the middle.
we think it was to keep cars from going back there.
it was astoundingly light and easy to move. we moved it out of the way, in with some plants off the path, and then we turned it over so the nails weren't sticking up.
on-topic, my day today (technically yesterday now) wasn't that bad. i finally tried playing Icy Speedway for awhile for the contest. went to church. spent most of the day around the house, though.

Re: What was your day like?
My days are pretty much the same. On weekdays, I go to crappy school, go home and either mess around in Unity, or play a game whether it be Spyro or Call of Duty or Minecraft. On Weekends, I usually mess around in Unity more than play games. One thing that might suck or be awesome is that my summer will be real crazy!
Summer for my school starts in 3 weeks and goes until August. Same amount of time as most schools, just early start, early begin... But during the summer, I'll be working full time on a project that some of you will probably like. I can't reveal what it is yet since nothing is 100% set in stone, but some of you might be able to guess yourselves. I'll be working on this project with as much time as I can during the summer, so that'll take up all that time. It will either be boring and suck (Which I hope it doesn't), or it will be really fun and I'll get lots done. I'll just have to wait and see! Even if it sucks, I'll still pull through it and work on it non-stop. That'll be the death of me I bet!

Re: What was your day like?
Good luck dude rock it!
Anyway to day I might have finally made peace with some people who despise me. I keep my distance and don't go anywhere near them And we agreed it's best if none of us see each other for the rest if our lives. For the best. But at least I know were cool and they won't have to worry obit me cause I'm a thousand miles away from them forever more.
Other then that it was normal. Sort of I could have sworn I saw a talking frog. So when I got home I took a long nap. Good cause when I woke up I realized it was just a Kermit The Frog doll from a toy store. Well glad that was cleared up.

Re: What was your day like?
Today feels nice. Yesterday was really hot so I didn't want to be out. Today is near perfect, so I will be doing work on my car and washing my snake's terrarium and all the accessories.
I'm gonna be presenting my website to the class tonight (this one) so that will be fun to do. Yeah, I'm not really taking it seriously ... or I'm just too relaxed about it. Either way I will enjoy being done with that dumb teacher and his extremely poorly taught course.
