Browsers
We got a good discussion on this in the general discussion thread, so I think it warrants a thread of its own. Here's where we left off:
I never ever thought IE was ever that bad, I used it for years, only changed to google chrome recently
I would agree with paranoia. IE got a lot better after 11, maybe even 10. The store PCs of the company I work for were locked in at IE6 when I first started working here a year ago, which meant we had to develop for it. That was dreadful. They're at IE8 now, which is still bad, but better at least. One user actually had an issue last week where our answer was to downgrade IE and it would be fixed!

Re: Browsers
Sounds like your company is a bit behind the times. Must be pretty frustrating.
I was actually considering trying out the newest IE because Firefox has been bugging out on me recently. Every once and a while, even when I have just a few tabs open, it slows the computer down, and looking at the task manager, shows that 100% of memory is being used. Not sure why this is, and I tried researching it but couldn't get passed all the techy language people were using to resolve the issue. Before anyone asks, I use Chrome too, but as a second browser. I like having two browsers because my school email uses Gmail, and signing in to it with the same browser is really inconvenient to have to keep logging in and logging out to get to my main google account.

Re: Browsers
I use Opera.
Kidding, of course, I wonder why Spyrochat.com sponsors it on the sign in page?
Anyways, I use Chrome. Firefox actually had 4 tabs open, no other programs, and it corrupted my Harddrive.

DDR, so your sis hogs all the games? LOL

Re: Browsers
I used to use Firefox, then Chrome came out, so I tried it. I haven't used another browser since. It's a great browser, but I'm starting to believe that maybe our Google overlords aren't all good.
I'm not sorry if I offended you.

Re: Browsers
I used to use Firefox, but one day it just started freezing on me. I could never figure out what the problem was, so I had to just get rid of it and switch to Chrome. I'll reinstall it again one day to see if the issue was resolved because I really preferred some of the Firefox addons over their Chrome alternatives. ![]()

I had this problem too until I started forwarding all the mail from my school Gmail account to my main one. You can also add other email addresses to your account, so when you send an email you choose which address to send it from.
I use Opera.

Opera is actually supposed to be a decent browser I've heard. As for why it's there, to my knowledge Spyrochat.com's homepage hasn't been changed at all since it was first launched in '08, so that could have something to do with it. ![]()

Re: Browsers
I love Firefox, but I switched over to Chrome since I noticed a performance issue while multitasking with Firefox. I've never had that happen before, and I have a decent computer, so lag from a browser is a bit ridiculous. I don't have this issue with Chrome.

Re: Browsers
Chromance...
Yeah, Google might be a bit shifty, but I still like Chrome more than the other browsers. I have a bad taste for the other ones.

Re: Browsers
I use chrome cause it's the fastest, and since I often play games that are ressource-heavy and I sometimes alt-tab, I prefer having a browser that is as light as possible.
I have Firefox too installed tho', in case I get whatever problem while using Chrome, I use it mainly for school.

Same though I don't really use Firefox. That thing always used to crash when I opened it for some reason.
