What was your day like?

My day started off pretty typical, however it was one of them days where staying home may have been the better option. lol Anyways, I went to Planet Fitness for a bit and then headed over to Mejier to pick up a few things. But as I was looking at toothpaste the power went out. I got irritated and left, leaving behind the items I needed since I figured I wouldn't be able to pay for them. Getting out of the store and the area was also a hassle. It took at least 20 minutes to get out of the traffic jam. Apparently the outage was caused by a transformer that caught fire.

How was your day?

Re: What was your day like?

i sort of wanted to get outside today, but it's just been too cold around here. so i mostly continued rearranging stuff in my room like i have been. there is so much stuff i have that i don't need it's astounding, thinking about trying a yard sale, because i am *not* selling a bunch of little toys and figurines online and setting up individual listings etc. there's also stuff i plan to just donate if anyone's wondering, like old clothes that are in really good condition that i've found.

Re: What was your day like?

Wow, that must have been really strange (and a little scary) to have the power go out while shopping.

I've been having a lot of crappy days recently to be honest. Just been getting so burnt out with school and stuff. My motivation to do school work is pretty much non-existent, the weather's terrible (6 inches of snow at the end of March, wtf), and I'm still trying to find a part-time job and an internship for the summer that will actually pay me. I can't wait til the summer when I move into my new apartment though. I won't have to deal with classes and will hopefully be working a job that I enjoy.

So yeah, my day today consisted of waking up at 6:30am to get to school on time because of the icy roads, then working for a couple hours at my food service job. I did finish off The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC, which was really well done. Wish it was longer though.

Sorry for being so negative; I guess it's just good to vent sometimes.

Actually went pretty well. Originally had to give a presentation in my Spanish class, but my teacher forgot about it, then in English we just watched a movie the whole class. I also bought a couple of games on Steam that were really cheap.

Re: What was your day like?

No worries, Panoria. Yesterday wasn't terrible, but sort of odd and stressful. I guess you can say I was venting a bit, too.

It wasn't that overly dark where I was, as I was near a outside door. The only thing I found annoying was an alarm that was going off. Now if I had been food shopping? lol It would have gotten pretty dark.

Yeah, I know what you mean by the weather, StilllikeSpyro. It has been cold, wet and snowy where I'm at. But the temperatures are starting to warm up here, so hopefully soon I'll be able to get out more. And good luck with your rummage sale! I'll be needing to get rid of a lot of my things too. I live by myself, however I'll be moving back in with my parents sometime in May. But since my parents just sold the house, and will most likely move into an apartment, I'll have to weed out my things. One of my aunts is going to be having a sale, so I'll just have to send my junk her way. lol

Glad you had a good day, FlapJack! I always enjoyed it when we would watch films instead of doing work. lol

Re: What was your day like?

My day was pretty uneventful. I've been having trouble finding jobs lately, so I called up my mom and told her I wanted to start working on her website. For the rest of the day I cleaned the litterbox, washed dishes, vacuumed the carpets, and wasted some time on the internet. At around 5, KingLambda came home from work, and we ordered pizza and played Tales of Symphonia 2 before going to bed.

Paranoia's post reminds me of how much I completely do not miss school. I was completely with you on the no motivation for school work thing. Spring break should be coming up soon, though, right?

Re: What was your day like?

three people in this thread have avatars of Spyro facing to (our) right; me, The Black Shadow, and Flapjacks.

my day was rather boring. i didn't get too much done today, i'm coming down with something. i'm almost glad that's happening though, i've felt like i've been getting something for like 2 weeks now. i've been exhausted. at least now i'm on my way to getting better finally.

managed to go to a store with my mom though, that was nice. it's like 2 blocks from where we live and it has... just "old"-styled stuff; the sort of things people's grandparents probably have sitting around their houses.

i'd like to live by myself, but i don't have nearly the funds to do that yet.

Re: What was your day like?

I went to see butterflies today (my town houses them yearly and then releases them), however everyone with little kids were there -__- I was there trying to take pictures but kids kept grabbing the butterflies n' stuff. I was able to get some good shots despite the fact. Perhaps I'll toss a few in here.

Xbox redringed after I borrowed a game from a friend I had been wanting to play for a long time. Thanks, obama.
Edit: Xbox started working again for no reason! Thanks, obama!

Re: What was your day like?

Pretty normal weekend Saturday for me. Watched the new recent episode of MLP FIM which was great. Going to be watching a new Ben 10 Omniverse episode too hopefully. And finished up some work.

Next I'm trying to finish up some games before Mario Kart 8 comes out and save up money for Super Smash Bros for 3DS. Other then that I've got some walkthrough's and let's plays to watch.

And I saw a cool and hilarious video that made me love one of my favourtie wrestlers even more. So all in all good day. Also I've been watching old cartoon openings which rock. So yeah good day.

Spring break was actually 2 weeks ago now. Only about a month and a half left of school though, so that's something.

36: That sucks man. Being sick is no fun. I was sick for the entirety of my break from school. Hope you feel better soon.

Today was pretty uneventful. Just been working on a couple projects since the due dates are coming up pretty soon. I made the terrible choice of putting them off the last few months. At least they aren't group projects though; those are always the worst. I've started making a bit of progress in Dark Souls recently. It's turning out to be surprisingly fun, in an evil sort of way.

Re: What was your day like?

My day wasn't very eventful. I spent a quite a bit of time dealing with a PayPal issue, did a few other things and Played ANB until I got annoyed with it. Now I'm tired and yawning. lol I

Re: What was your day like?

36, I once had a sinus infection, so I know how you feel. It was miserable, and I had a fever as well. The medication I was on made everything smell and taste like mold.

Hope you feel better soon.

As for my day, I think I may be coming down with something as well. My throat is sore, my ears are plugged up and I have runny/stuffy nose. It could be allergies, though.

Re: What was your day like?

I went to a musical at a dinner theater yesterday with my mom and sister. They had free tickets for The Little Mermaid. Since my parents live about an hour and a half away and my car battery is dead from the winter, my dad came and picked me up at around 1. We went to the musical at around 6:30 and came home at 10:30.

I had an ear infection once; every time I moved my jaw, I got a pain in my right jaw (lymph node or something,) and the medicine tasted like bitter orange stuff.

I did a bit of food shopping today, and I could swear I saw an old art teacher of mine. I wish I had my year books here so I could try and figure that out. XD

Re: What was your day like?

That's always weird when you see someone you recognize but aren't sure. Especially if they acknowledge you as well. Then you feel like a jerk for not knowing who they are. Or maybe that's just me. tongue

Today was an ok day. Still super stressed from school, job searching, and other shenanigans, but it turns out classes are cancelled tomorrow due to a snowstorm (in APRIL!). I mean, as much as I hate snow, I'm perfectly okay with  3 day weekend. I like how Minnesota, ( and a bit of Wisconsin) are the only places in the entire US to get snow, and we're getting about a foot overnight. Not sure why I live here. D:

Today was so miserable here because of this. Rant time!

So first, on the way to work, after unburying my car and getting it out of the unplowed parking lot, I noticed the windshield wipers were too icy to wipe the melted snow off my windshield, so I pull over into a parking lot to break the ice off... Locked the keys in the car. This meant I had to run all the way home in the windy and snowy weather and call Stormy while knocking on the door to wake her up (this would have been about 7am) so I could get her keys then run all the way back to my car again. I was half an hour late for work, but I made it at least.

Then, fast forward to my lunch break. I get ready to drive home to eat at home, as I tend to do. However, due to the temperature sitting so conveniently close to freezing, the wintery crap beneath my tires was a perfect blend of snow, ice, and water. Due to this my car would not move from its parking spot. A guy walking by even tried to help me push, to no avail. Annoyed, I went to eat at the cafeteria at work. Hey, at least we have one I guess. Since it's Friday and I'm Catholic though, I couldn't have meat, and the only actual meal option was a tuna sandwich, but the guy in front of me, presumably also Catholic because I noticed he too was avoiding the meat options, took the last one, so my lunch was a bag of Chex Mix.

Sorry, done ranting... Today just was so frustrating sad

I started off the day by breaking my glasses... I have to go to a baby shower today, so hopefully my mother can find her glasses repair kit to fix them...

Edit: Now I burned my finger with bacon grease.

Re: What was your day like?

Lambda: That sounds beyond frustrating. The weather seems to be looking up at least. It looks like this week might be in the 40's in 50's for me, meaning probably warmer for you.

I got a lot of stuff done this weekend. Three essays, an online exam, started work on a project due in the next week and a half, and applied for a few jobs as well. Hopefully I can start hearing back from some places I applied...

Also slowly making more progress in Dark Souls. Not sure if any else here has played it, but that game is brutal. I'm in an area where you have to walk on this tiny piece of scaffolding on a castle while two knights, one on each side, are shooting arrows that stagger you and take a ton of your health. Finally was able to get past it. And I was able to kill an invading player online, which was one of the more satisfying things I've done in a video game recently.
