Jesus Christ Superstar (Musical)
I'm starting this thread to get your guy's opinions and analyses of this musical. I am in one of its productions where I live and I thought it would be cool to know what you guys think.
BTW, I put this here because I think it's a general topic, but I'm not sure if the nature of it asks for it to go in the serious discussion section.

Re: Jesus Christ Superstar (Musical)
Nah, this topic will be just fine here. If there start to be arguments or something I can move it over if necessary.
Like I said on Spyrochat, I've never seen it or really heard that much about it. Do you have an acting role or a backstage role?

Re: Jesus Christ Superstar (Musical)
Acting role. I get to play one of the apostles, which in this musical isn't that big, but hey, it's something.
I love the work as a whole, and how it's rendered. One of the things that makes this musical extremely interesting is that they make Jesus exist in modern times, and have everything around him modern.

Re: Jesus Christ Superstar (Musical)
I'v seen it advertised about, but never seen it
reminds me of my friends Drama piece though, the girl she is working with saw Wicked and is desperately trying to put every wicked song into the performance, ignoring the fact that no one in the group can nor WANTS to sing, and the fact that hardly any of the songs fit into the plays story. So my friend is furious about it :-p
(Then the girl also wanted a Harry Potter song put in because "she 'ad it stuck in her head at the time" which, when considering you need to write why you included the songs down, isn't a good idea.)
Welcome to Nya Nya Nya please just call me Tatsumina no Mikoto Cocona! NYAMO!!
Oh the indignity.

Well, that's annoying. I can see why everyone would be annoyed.
