I am not sure if you caught the word "Indie" before "Pop". Pop literally
means popular. So it's the popular part of Indy music. And basically that
means Indie music with more of a beat to it, because that's what is popular.

Notice how many of their songs have 10+ million YouTube views. That is a
sign of it being popular. Most of the music I listen to has less than 10k views,
so it definitely doesn't fall under any Pop category.

I hope that makes sense ... I'm good at confusing people. X|

I don't know if you guys keep up with Youtube let's players, but one of my favorite channels, Game Grumps, has made a band called Starbomb, and they released three promos for their first album, which is out the 17th. And OMG I'M GONNA BUY IT SO HARD IT'S SO GUD
The way they described their songs' themes is something along the lines of 'Video game characters in adult situations.'

ISLS, the odd drum beat of those songs reminds me of Oceansize's drummer.
(Yes, I listen to a nutsy band like them. XD)
