Worst video game you ever played

to be honest though, I think the power of nostalgia is much stronger that we give it credit for tongue

Of course that's an exaggeration, but that's kind of what I see the reason why people don't like change so much. People should be more open to change (although not necessarily too open because then you have people that only say new games are good... it's the newgenner-genwunner situation).

I agree completely. It's like I was saying in the spam section earlier, Pokemon is the perfect example of this. Some people insist that Pokemon Red and Blue are the best games ever and refuse to play the new games, even though Pokemon has had tons of changes since then for the better. They would rather stick to the same old, black-and-white, poorly translated, glitchy game with a simplistic battle system broken by a single type just because it's nostalgic and from the 90's. And then people look at me like I'm pure evil when I point this out! I've played Pokemon Blue, and while I can see why it was so great back then, it really wouldn't have aged as well as it did without the nostalgia factor.

It's also the reason why some people aren't open to TLoS and/or Skylanders (although some of the changes with those games really do just suck, so I can understand not liking them more than I can understand not liking the new Pokemon games).

You mean like now? I mean yea Psychic types have been balanced but not every other type. Why do Ice types have good defense but have 5 weaknesses? Why are Poison types so useless? Why are Dragon types so meh now? We need type balancing this next gen.

And I dunno if a Fairy type or whatever new type Sylveon is going to be will exactly help.

Well I'll admit I haven't been paying much attention to competitive battling since the newest generation came out, so yeah, there are probably still some issues. Obviously it's never going to be a perfect system. But at least with so many more Pokemon and moves to choose from now it's not like you can just get a Mewtwo and an Alakazam and automatically kick everyone's butt. There's a lot more you have to account for; it's not quite as formulaic.

Unlike some other parts of the internet, I don't think there are any TLoS fans here who are really willing to get into a flame war over it. That said, I didn't much care for it myself, but I would hardly call it the worst game ever.

The first one wasn't that bad, yeah it was horribly generic and unbalanced but it was still fun. I don't know about the second one, never played it.
