I think it's awesome that video games are so mainstream now that they warrant cameo's in Disney movies. Plus not all video game movies are bad, I loved Prince of Persia.

Prince of Persia was pretty bad actually....

As for good vidya gaem movies. Maybe Wreck it Ralph could go somewhere. but I dunno. When I think Disney I think of something more spectacular than just a "look for yourself story" with vidya. Seems more of an attempt to be modern again(And we all know what happens when Disney try to do something modernish.)

But on another note. Anyone seeing Hotel Translynnia? I don't really have a lot of good expectations for it(Adam Sandler is Dracula is the tagline for *bleep*s sakes.) But I'm mainly seeing it to support Genddy and see if Sony will get that Samurai Jack movie out of development hell.

If there was going to be one...;_;

What didn't you like about the POP movie?

And Disney is always doing "finding yourself" stories, nearly all of there films are like that.

Its bascially every movie about a reluctant guy paired up with a bratty princess you've ever seen before. Plot was just so predictable and the action scenes in the games were better than the ones in the movie. Also if you wanted to keep your villain a surprise. DON'T CAST BEN KINGSLEY!! Hes the most obvious bad guy you'll ever see in a movie.

And about the Disney one. I only really recall Bambi doing that. But it made sense since it was more a coming of age story. I never really found Disney doing it much or at least not in main focus in its other movies.

EDIT: I just remembered something. If you guys want a good gamers movie. Watch Scoot Pilgirm Vs. The World. Its bascially a video game brought to life in the form of a Jackie Chan movie.

Just because it's like other movies doesn't mean it's not good. It's just like Avatar, a familiar story filmed in a enjoyable way, no problem with that in my eyes. Anyone who has played the game will know that the vizier/advisor is the bad guy but I still think it was paced very well. smile

Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast, Alladin there are ton of disney films were the main character has to find there place in the world.

You thought that? I was feeling all sought's of emotions during that film. I felt invested in the characters struggles and romance. I felt down when things were going bad and elated when things were going well.

You have to remember that Clock-ls doesn't feel when watching movies.

Avatar Ointles I don't Hate it, like I said I have not seen the full thing but...it just looks so much like pocahontus in space and thats all I was getting with the parts I did see. I Will try to see it in full, but like I say its to...Simple I find...but Praise to were Praise be ernt...its awsome to look it the animation.

Titainic..No energy...my rant for this fime is like a ten thousand word essay. Im not joking tongue All im gonna say is the sinking ship is NO LONGER the saving grace for this film. Its Unsinkable molly.

As for Ica age 4...If you can't see whats wrong with this film from the trailer...then...I pitty you.

I still need to see Paranorman. Saw Looper this week so I didn't see it this week. Maybe this weekend.

Looper was good btw. Though it has some pretty obvious problems.

The dvd is only £7 so one day i might go wild tongue

EDIT: Hey furry I saw a review for that Vampire hotel film...thing...

Basicly...its a kids film...like low end kids film...i mean its not an AWFUL kids film...like say..troll in center park, However it just does'nt try to have any adult theams in case it freeks the kids out...odd considering it had dracular...but that was just one persons opinion tongue other in the comments said they quite liked it and hey...can't be worst than Ice age 4...Or bolt...

I wanted to post a proper reaction image for this. But I just couldn't find one that fits what I'm thinking.

And believe me I have a *bleep*ing huge reaction image folder.

I mean how did this even get greenlighted. What did the creator say to the executives to make this idea appealing? Do they really see a future for this?
