Re: Art / Drawing
Well now your just getting into "Is it half full or half empty?" territory.
It's 50%.
Anyway, the most depressing thing that I find is that every year seems shorter than the last as it takes up a smaller percentage of your life.
I guess it depends on how you look at it. For me, I don't look back in time
very often. Because I know that my brain works faster than time, I know that
time will seem short if I think of the past because my brain processes the
thoughts and memories so quickly; if I look forward in time, it feels so slow
because my brain works much faster and processes memories quicker than
time can create them. Kind of a weird theory, but it makes sense.

Re: Art / Drawing
Twenty-one doesn't feel old to me, but then I think about how in only 9 more years I'll be 30, and then 10 more after that I'll be 40. It makes life seem really short, so I recommend not thinking like this.
Lifes as long as you make it ![]()

Re: Art / Drawing
If anyone is actually feeling depressed about there own mortality I would suggest adopting a healthy lifestyle that includes lots of healthy foo, exercise and maybe even travelling. That sort of lifestyle will not only make you feel like you are living everyday to it's fullest but will ACTUALLY increase your lifespan.

Re: Art / Drawing
Forgive me for the sudden thread bump. I just want it to be relevant to the thread.
If you are allowed to see DeviantArt content, check this person out! They
have amazing artwork and it also makes for wonderful desktop backgrounds!
The art is very "fantasy/scenery" related.

Art Genre: Digital Painting
These two are my favorites and I will be using them as backgrounds:
These one is great too (and more):

A photograph could be seen as a drawing...so can many other forums of art.

How are they photographs? Every bit is a painting that an artist did digitally!
As in ... drawn in Photoshop or another image program.
Hence "digital painting" being the genre/type.

Oh sorry, I just meant a photograph as a general example of something that can be classed as a drawing that one wouldn't usually say is a drawing ![]()

Wow, amazing ![]()
I did a digital painting of a scenery from a dream a couple of days ago:
The dream was a mix of Monster Hunter and Pokémon, with dinosaurs and huge pokemon everywhere. The pokémon could be caught and used to fight the dinosaurs or other pokémon ![]()

It was, and a bit scary. None of the creatures were especially aggressive, but they were all dangerous:P
