My guess is the server went down one day like it kept doing last year and no one ever cared enough to bring them back up. They'd been pretty flaky and inactive before that, anyway.

Spyroworld used to host spyropedia until I broke them apart and put spyropedia on its own site, and took spyroworld down due to inactivity and a lack of writers.

Spyroforum was created well before the wiki and spyroworld.

Well guys. I have beaten Metal Gear Solid 2 just now. So now its time for the review.

Story: 9/10 I really liked the story to this actually better than MGS1s. You could say MGS2 was the game where the series got overly convoluted but I didn't find it that hard to understand. I liked the characters. Heck I'm actually not that annoyed with Raiden. Only character I would say I can't really stand is Rose and her long *bleep* talks.

Gameplay: 9.5/10 Gameplay is just like the first game but slightly improved. For those who wanted to know my end game stats.

Playtime: 15:38:47
Save: 32 times
Continue: 95 times
Alert Mode: 66 times
Persons: 163 killed
Rations: 78 used

All on normal. Yea I know 95 continues. lets just say manual aiming screws me over royally

Music: 9.5/10 I like this soundtrack better than the first game probably for the fact that MGS1 barely had that much of a soundtrack hmm . But oh well it was still good. And I liked this soundtrack a lot too.

Overall: 9.5/10 I'll probably get a lot of flak for this. But honestly I liked this game better than the first one. In nearly everyway. I've still got MGS3 and Peace Walker to deal with now. So I'll probably start MGS3 sometime this weekend.

But yea. I highly suggest you do. The first 2 games are really great experiences and involve deep thinking(Especially in 2. Which I know your really into) If you ever get to them I suggest emulating MGS1 on a PS1 emulator or buy it off the PSN store. Theres a Gamecube version but I heard they messed up the voice acting and messed with the lines(Which is a shame because the voice acting(ESPECIALLY for a Playstation 1 game) is really REALLY good.

After that buy the HD collection which is on either 360 or PS3(Either one is fine though I reccomend PS3 since PS3 has MGS4) and play it in this order.

2>3>PW. Bascially release order after you play those 3 go play Metal Gear 1 and 2 which is on Metal Gear Solid 3. What they bascially are is the original MSTX versions of those games(Which were Japan only) and are somewhat important to the plot. I haven't played them yet. But I hear there good.

After those you can either go play MGS4 or Portable Ops before MGS4. I hear Portable Ops is a mixed bag.

And yes. It is necessary to play the previous games before MGS4. Else it would barely make any sense from what I've heard.

I'm almost never interested in trying new games, even if tons of people tell me they're good. Like, apparently I'm really missing out by not playing Zelda, but I can't find it within myself to care.

Haven't played much of Zelda either(I only played like 5 games) but I've been trying to get in to them more(Thinking of either Lttp or Links Awakening next.)

MGS isn't really a new series though. Its been around since the MSTX. That was during the NES days. And its still going on strong. Zeldas the same in that regard(Though I can't really say that since I haven't played the newer Zelda games beyond Wind Waker.)
