Nice read, although I don't agree with all the points. Nowhere in the articles was there mentioned that games are either too expensive or there's a lack of new IP all over the place, endless, boring sequels to games. Not to mention many of those games are trash.

I'd like to think we'd still be around if the video game industry went away. Most of our discussion material is old content, anyway.

I know this is only a small part of that article's point, but for console sales, couldn't part of the reason for the decline be the fact that everyone already has a console by now? Of course they'd be selling better when they first came out, right?

Also, did anyone see this?

Activision will also show off the next installment in its "Skylanders" series, which combines real-world toys with a videogame and was one of the 2011 holiday period's biggest surprise hits. (Collectors are paying up to $1,200 for rare figurines from the game on eBay.)

That's almost as insane as what people are paying for custom MLP plushes....

Oh, we're all moved in to the apartment, by the way. Might take some pictures tonight after work; it actually looks pretty nice. We don't have internet yet, though. sad

Atlus is pretty much the only game company worth a *bleep* nowadays. I mean look at the last thing they did.

Update: the new company we're going with for internet is installing it tomorrow, and we're getting 15Mbps for only $5 more than we would have paid for 5Mbps. big_smile

Hahaha, did you find one of those on Ebay or something? I'm a little jealous. XD I remember that from Wario Land 3 too. I should play that game again sometime.
