synesthesia: a neurological condition where the stimulation of one thing in the brain automatically affects another. there are people who see the days of the week as certain colors, Friday may feel like a "yellow" day. it carries over into other things, but this version of it is the most relevant.

I believe I may have a mild case of synaesthesia. A is red, B is blue, C is yellow, D is green... Different words and sounds don't make me physically 'see' a colour, but they make me think of one. Strangely, when I first heard of Synaesthesia, while watching QI, they played a bunch of keyboard notes before saying what the guy who discovered synaesthesia saw when he heard them. Immeadiately after every note that was played, I thought of a colour and said it out loud. Every colour I saw was identical to what the person who discovered it had seen.
