I completely agree with both of these; in fact I've been saying it for years. Thing is, though, our admin doesn't want to do any reorganization of the site. I had to push really hard a few years ago to even get "Spyro Games" renamed to "Spyro Roleplaying" and "SPAM" renamed to "SPAM/Forum Games." I originally wanted subforums, but our version of phpbb does not support that, and I highly doubt we're getting an upgrade on that anytime soon, if ever.

I, like, really want to buy this forum and manage it myself, haha. You guys have such good ideas I'd love to see implemented. But that's probably never happening. XD

Honestly, I really have no idea. Probably not much, from a purely business standpoint. The ads are all ancient, so I doubt any profit is being made from it. I'm sure it's a lot more complicated than just pure profit, though.

buying a .com domain with a name like "spyroforum" probably wouldn't cost much, especially compared to something like "music" .com, or "video" .com which would cost $sldalgsasg.63463sggadhjjj because names like that are more accessible and more frequently searched.

getting a forum made on a pre-made website like proboards or something is free, so if we ever begin an uprising, that would probably be the route to take.

It's not as simple as just buying the domain name when the website already exists. I would actually have to go to SR and ask him if he would be willing to sell me the site, not just the name, then negotiate a deal.

I don't even think I can vote on this on this one. I never really started out playing Spyro until Enter the dragonfly and when it got hard I quit and never played it again and that goes for a hero's Tail and shadow legacy too, I only got serious with the Legend of Spyro series but between my CCKW and the fact I bought a jeep that I intend on really driving and have to fix it up I don't have much time for video games period.

Ah, so were you talking about buying new domain like spyroforum and starting over instead of buying this site? I was a little confused there because I was pretty sure that wouldn't have to be something I'd have to explain.

Anyways, school's ending for me in less than a month, so once I'm done with that and all this job stuff, I'll get started on these ideas. Thanks again everyone for voting/posting. Feel free to keep the ideas coming, but just so you all know, I can't change the forum structure, layout, or anything like that.
