i don't understand the scene kids' recent fascinations with techno and dubstep music. it's severely lacking in... something. i can't place what.

I didn't always like dubstep. I used to think that it was just loud, irritating noises. Which it is. But it's good loud irritating noises. Very good. I can't quite say why I like it, but perhaps it's the speed, or the heavy bass, or just because there are certain dubstep songs which are really, really good, and even those who don't like dubstep will probably like them.

If you're looking for dubstep which you probably will like, look for Nero. Nero's 'Promises' was so popular that it became the first ever UK Number 1 Dubstep track EVER. My favourite Dubstep song happens to also be by Nero, and it's called Innocence. Innocence is the reason I started enjoying dubstep. I highly recommend that you all go and listen to Innocence by Nero, and remember to see it through to the drop. You (hopefully) won't regret it.

first one wasn't bad. not something i'd listen to regularly, but pretty good. other one was meh. like i said, besides the fact that i don't like the sound of dubstep anyway, there's just something missing from it that i can't describe well.

also, you have top comment on the Innocence video.

it doesn't remind me a lot of dubstep. maybe that's because there are so many vocal parts that are so high in the mix, when dubstep seems to be a very instrumentally oriented genre.

Yeah, promises is quite non-dubsteppy, but it's definitely dubstep. Nero does another song called 'Must be the feeling', which doesn't really sound like dubstep much either, but it is. I prefer promises by a long shot though tongue
