Are you talking about the anime or the games? Does anyone even watch the game openings?

I just finished writing a resume and cover letter to apply for an internship at this company's IS department. Sent it in by email this afternoon. Now whenever I open my email I get really nervous in case I got a response. <.<

I do. Black and White in particular was pretty cool.

Cool, I really hope you can land that job. I know how much trouble you've
gone through while looking. Keep fighting, you'll find one eventually. I was
planning on getting a job, but ended up having a lot of college work. So much
for that. But it's all good. I'd rather learn about computers than work at Party
City and have to put up with smelly people and their stupid messes.

(That sounded rude, but it's true. A lady once came in with a kid who dirtied its diaper.)

Thanks. smile I was really starting to give up hope of ever getting a job. The guy in charge of the department emailed me back right away saying he doesn't know if there are any positions available but wants to talk to me anyway. I guess that's a good sign if they want to interview me when they might not even have a position to fill. I'm hoping if there's not a position now something will open up later, and they'll call me then. Now just the interview on Friday to worry about. D:

Where did you end up going to college, btw? Was it that same school you were looking at this summer?

Yeah, good luck with the internship. smile What kind of work would you be doing if you got the job?

I haven't found a job at school either. The only on-campus job that I can find that I qualify for is maintenance, morning hours, and I have class almost every morning at 8:00. hmm Should have looked earlier...I couldn't work last semester because I had lots of homework and difficult classes. (Chemistry, Biology, and Calculus all at once)

Random: I got Crash Bash for PS1 to work on my emulator with 2 players, told 3 of my friends about it, and they all want to play now. Win.

Thanks. I'm actually not entirely sure what it would be. I was told to contact them about the IS (information services) department, but the manager who responded says it's IT. So if I had to guess, I'd say it would be something similar to what Dad does, like fixing and maintaining the computer systems, only on an intern level. I've also heard people mention working with the interface of their manufacturing equipment, but that's just another guess.

Well, that sucks, but at least you've still got a job at home guaranteed for the summer. For now, I don't know what the area is like or if there are any places close enough to get to without a car, but have you thought about applying anywhere off campus?

Hey Stormy, do you have any certifications that will help you? Where I'm from, we have CISCO and CompTIA who give courses and exams that certify you in certain areas. I'm getting my CCNA certification in about a year, and possibly the A+ certification at the same time.

Yeah, I'm taking my A+ right now ... as two flex courses.
Ugh.

Anyway, today:
I woke up at 6 AM to get ready for my 8 AM class [making up for a 40-45
minute drive] and got out of that class at 11:50 AM. Went straight home and
did homework FOR THE SAME CLASS until now, 10:50 PM.

How many hours of straight-up college work is that? 14 hours and 10 minutes
of college? (Of course, taking out the driving time.) UUUUGH I WANT A HUG.

Nope, I'm just working on a bachelor's degree right now. I've never heard of any of those. Never heard them mentioned by any of my professors or my dad in IT or anyone else ever.

I moved on to do Computer Programming. It's through SAC (San Antonio
College). It's a 45-minute drive, mostly highway.

Wich is befor the 2nd be affter the 4th but inbetween the 5 and 6 but 3 has'nt been relised yer due to no reson what so ever.

It's delayed because the team is busy with Versus XIII. Since that's gunna be the new Duke Nukem Forever well...
