Agreed, I'm not a fan of the new channels. It just makes it harder to find the videos, which is all anyone ever uses channels for anyway. =/
Have to admit, I like the new youtube homepage much better than the old one, though.

even better: you don't HAVE friends on the new channels! they're getting rid of friends, and to have them "added" you now have to subscribe to them.
