Once upon a time. There was a amazing RTS series called XCOM. The plot was simple. Aileans have come to Earth. So humans form an organization called XCOM to combat the extratersstial threat. The battle system was stragetic and awesome. And I loved it.

Then they decided to reboot it.

There turning it into a FPS game.

I feel betrayed.

Star Ocean 4 had one of the worse plot and character development I've ever seen in a game. Thankfully everything was good.

Ever play the other Star Ocean games Clodk? 3 and 2 are good. 1 was just ok and I've never played Blue Sphere.

Nope. But i realy enjoued 4

the plot is preachy but its still fun xD

Go play the others. You have a PS2 so go get 3. And buy a PSP for 1 and 2 remakes.

I beatted DQ6 as for my thoughts on it.

Graphics: 9/10

Music: 8/10. I liked the two overworld themes, The flying themes, The Boat Theme(Especially the Boat theme) and the other area themes. The battle themes were good but nothing really special.

Story and Character Development: 8/10. I liked the Story and the interactions you get when talking to your party members. I like how every NPC in the game the party can comment on. I hate how When you beat Murdaw the game lacked any kind of direction whatsoever. So you have to got to Luca for advice. I never liked it in games that require me to go talk to specific person every time I get stuck or the game never tells me what to do. It's just tedious.

Battle Mechanics 9/10 I love how they made tanking important in this game. Crowd control and healing were also crucial to success in the early to mid game. Late-game, it really is easy to become obscenely powerful. And I had to restrict myself using other Vocations to try to achieve balance throughout my characters. But other than that it was good.

Overall: 8/10 I had alot of fun with the game. And I recommend it to other DQ/RPG fans. If from what I heard this is the weakest of the Zenithian Trilogy then I can't wait to play DQ 4 and 5 soon.

Just saw the trailer for it. It looks like there are three player characters. The parts with Leon look exactly like RE4, which is exactly what I want. The other parts... meh
