Xbox 720?

Xbox 720 is the codename for the upcoming third video game console produced by Microsoft, and the successor to the Xbox 360.[1] The console will be unveiled during the June 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo and will run on Windows 8.[2] It will be launched sometime in 2013.[2][3][4][5] Microsoft is rumored to be planning to make the first official announcements about Xbox 720 at the January 2012 Consumer Electronics Show.[1][5] The console also has the rumored names Xbox Next and Xbox Loop.[2][3]

Xbox is expected to release two models of the new console — a cheaper, pared-down system resembling a set-top box, as well as a fully featured gaming portal bundled with Kinect.[6] Emma Williams, a general manager at Xbox, will be in charge of developing the new console.[4]

Pardon me in saying, what the HECK?! I spent good money on an Xbox 360, and now I found out theres REALLY going to be an Xbox720?! What the heck...

Some how I knew the next Xbox will just add another 360 and make it 720.

Technology is evil like that. This is why I always buy consoles used.

When I was 11 or 12 and I bought a brand new Gameboy Advance. I saved up my allowance for months to be able to afford it. Then a few weeks later I heard about the Gameboy Advance SP. I was not happy. XD

You probably won't have to worry about your 360 being out of date for a while, though. You've got at least another year until the new one comes out, and even after it comes out they'll probably keep releasing games for the 360 for a while.

...You do realise that people have known about this for a long time... And that it won't be coming out until at least 2013? There's nothing to worry about!

Personally, I can't wait for the Wii U. Especially because Pikmin 3 is coming out on the Wii U!

What I do know about the next Xbox is that Intel is custom making a CPU for
it. I think that's a wonderful thing, since its performance will be huge, as long
as it has more RAM and some other performance upgrades then the 360.

The Xbox 360 is old now, and it's about time for a new Xbox console. The
games are showing this drawback too. I can only imagine what Battlefield 3
would be like if it was made for a machine that had a lot more power than the
360. The sounds, textures, culling distances, hit detection, networking,
everything would be better. And of course, Battlefield would grind Call of
Duty into an even finer pile of dust than it already is. I'm also curious what
games like Elder Scrolls would be like if it was developed for a more
powerful machine. The 3D objects would be able to have more polygons
and higher detailed textures without any CPU lag.

I'm waiting for it.

Of course they'll have to create updated consoles if they want console games to have anywhere near the graphics and performance of PC games.
