Assassin's Creed

A discussion topic for the greatest game ever. ^^

To start it off, who's your favourite character?

Oh, and here's a note for Latias Fan: If you're not interested in it, or don't like it, don't bother posting here with a troll message, like you have done before. It's pointless and rather stupid.

Battlefield 1942. That's all I have to say.

Re: Assassin's Creed

And I thought LF was the only troll here. XD

If you don't have anything on-topic to say, why bother posting? It's kindof spammy. If you do this all the time, no wonder so many members left.

I was hoping to find mature, and on-topic conversation here, but after looking around this site and seeing what's left of it, I doubt that would ever happen. XD

My favourite is Ezio, and he's actualy from AC, which is what this topic is about. I didn't say favourite character from any game. I meant your favourite AC character.

This topic can be locked now.

Actually most people left because of the tense atmosphere that was made by many of the more rigid members. We've actually been getting more people coming back than leaving.

You can't expect to say that "A" is the best thing in the world and have everyone agree. They'll just come back and say that "B" is better or "C".

Personally, I like Shaun. I also have a soft-spot for the people who give me info about what is going on.

Lol.

I didn't expect everyone to agree with that statement, since this is a Spyro forum. But I also didn't expect people to spam the thread with troll posts just because I posted my own opinion on the game.

Actually most people left because of the tense atmosphere that was made by many of the more rigid members. We've actually been getting more people coming back than leaving.

I know what you mean about the tense atmosphere. I felt like I couldn't even say I was a TLOS and Cynder fan without getting flamed.

Personally, I like Shaun. I also have a soft-spot for the people who give me info about what is going on.

Yeah, his sarcastic comments are so funny. XD I would be disappointed if he didn't talk at all in the next game.

Re: Assassin's Creed

I don't think they were really trolling, just making a joke. I see why it would be annoying when no one posted anything actually related to your topic, though. People should really respect the direction the original poster wants to take the thread. *hint*

Never played Assassin's Creed, sorry, but my boyfriend has two of the games and a T-shirt of it. He'd probably have something to say if he ever remembers this site exists.

He reminds me a lot of Otacon from MGS.

Re: Assassin's Creed

@Jazz: IT KEEPS HAPPENING

Anyway, I was out two days ago at the Eurogamer convention (hell yes, it was the nerdiest thing to do I could find that day) and I played four rounds of assassin's creed revelations multiplayer. Only manhunt, though, it was the only mode on offer. So I suppose I can info-dump a little about the game changes.

- Stunning seems to have been buffed. It can be done from a greater distance.
- But to counter it, two new mechanics have been put in place. Firstly, the stunkill clash. In brotherhood, the difference of a millisecond made the difference between a stun and a kill. In revalations, you can do both, in a way. If a player tries to stun, and the killer tries to kill at similar times, the stunner will make a hit, but will then be killed (not sure if the stun earns points, I was always on the killing end of the sword). The killer will then spend a few seconds shaking his/her head to dispel the concussion and will only be able to move at a very slow pace. I doubt you can make another kill while dazed, but I'm not sure.
- And the second counter to stunning is team games only. You can now revive stunned comrades with the triangle button. It has very little impact on your game, and you just need to move to low profile and tap the triangle for it to be effective. You can start running immediately afterwards, you don't need to go through a revival animation.
- Moving on, there are some new power-ups in play. Morph and the gun both made a reappearance, as well as what might have been a disable field.
- You can now lay traps as a power-up. The trap uses the same animation as the smoke bomb, and takes a few seconds on the ground to be readied. It can't be tripped by allies or NPCs. If an enemy enters the field (about three low-profile steps in diameter) a small stun bomb is activated with similar effects to the smoke bomb. It only effects people in the immediate vicinity, and doesn't create a temporary cloud like smoke bomb does. The effect only lasts for about three seconds. I'm not sure if you can see enemy traps. Maybe only in templar vision?
- There was also a power-up I didn't try that showed a gate with an arrow on it. Probably gives the ability to run through gates or open them, I don't know.
- When killing, your detection meter is now very different. It decreases when performing low profile actions outside of target vision. There are now five states. Conspicuous is the new one, and is now the closet to chasing. And incognito can now be restored. I think by blending you can restore your detection meter. Incognito probably requires you to be hidden or having just left a hiding place, then.
- Compass seems to be more sensitive. I could get closer to people without getting the full ring (might just be imagination).
- From the second you are killed the option to change your loadout is given. This is in the corner, and you are spawned with the option still available for a few seconds (and your abilities locked until you make a decision). If you don't make a decision, your last loadout is automatically selected.

So yeah, also I kicked *bleep* and came first in every game except one of the ones with a full team of friends where the friend who'd played brotherhood won (probably because I spent a full minute hiding time leading the enemy team on a huge chase. That's team play right there).

It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.
