Cartoon Network was my childhood.

Anyway I'm on episode 24 now. Looks like I'll be able to join you guys on the live stream for the first episode of season 2.

I'm gonna speak realistically...

Live streams are gonna be hard to get. There are several streams that are going to be going up Saturday morning. The episode starts at 9am EST. The probably lies not with the 'copyright infringement' of livestreams of tv broadcasts. Hasbro doesn't seem to care that their episodes are on YouTube. And an channels and videos that are taken down are most likely trolls that want to take down ponies posing as Hasbro. Youtube gives in to that kind of thing. But even that's not to worry about.

The real problem is the streams' capacity. Last week, a 12-hour marathon ran and the stream would not run properly because too many bronies were break it. Best case senario was that after a few hundred spammers were booted, most people would finally get the stream, but only in low quality.

Now, there are several tests the fandom has been running, trying to solve the problem of high traffic. But, don't be surprised if you find a dozen live streams and justin tv's for live ponies, and none of them are working. Bronies will be breaking the internet.

Worst case senario, the episode will be available on Youtube within about 6 hours of the episode airing.

Programming languages are easy to learn. Most programmers don't even put the languages that they know on their resumes because it's so redundant. Looks like they are using C++. As long as you know how to program itself, it shouldn't be too difficult to learn it. I would say it should take 3-4 hours to learn the essentials if you already know basic programming.

I know that; I've been programming for four years; it's not like I haven't learned any languages before. tongue They specifically said they wanted some certain time span of experience (I think it was a year) with the language, though, so I thought it would be best to leave it to people who do specialize in it rather than just knowing the "essentials" or I'd probably just weigh the rest of them down with constant questions and whatnot. Not a big deal anyway; I'd have little time for that sort of thing now that school has started and I have my own programs to write.

Basically how it looks like it's going to work is you create your own character with whichever race, colors, etc you want. It'll be like an MMORPG. What sounds stupid about it?

To answer your first question. I posted a link about it already before. But bascailly the game is called My Little Pony Love is Magic. You play as a pony who has no memories of who he is and whatnot and he gets help from the main 6. And somewhere along the way you get laid i guess. It's just about the most dumbest

idea I've ever heard for a dateing sim. Pretty much only furries and really really huge fans of the show are going to play it.

As for second question. I'm just curious on how MLP:FIM will act as an MMORPG. How can you kill things when the entire point of the show is to "love and tolerate". What are the quests going to be like? Buck apples? Bake Rainbow Dash into a cupcake? Help Kaede with her studies? I'm just wondering how this can posiblly work?

Off topic but has anyone seen any pics of the ponies in a 999:9 hours 9 persons 9 doors sceniro? Just wonderin.

Our stream can handle unlimited (technically) viewers, we've had between 50-700 and it makes no difference in lag. The quality isn't low, it's SD at the very least meaning it looks identical to watching it on your TV (unless you're watching in HD). Our Hub streamer has a pretty nice capture card.
We don't use livestream or justin.tv because they're horrible streaming services for our purposes. tongue

Edit: Currently we're doing a full stream of S1 which will last about until S2 airs, anyone who wants to join is welcome.

As you have already saw me in the IRC, lol, I can say I am impressed with the stream, and the efforts to un-lag it with high traffic proved useful in testing for this event. I just hope that when the premiere comes, a dangerous number causes the stream to break a little. So far, I have only had problems when I held multiple streams open at the same time. In any event, I'm staying in the IRC and keeping the theatre open.
