I'm pretty sure you can't delete a post after someone has viewed it. Isn't that right?

So i was talking to a friend of mine and i told him i saw the pilot of this show. This is what he said to me.

I'm immune to these kinds of "paths" you speak of. I very likely will not see more episodes of it. Cides you have to LIKE the show to be a brony.

Now here's what he said to me.

Phase 2) Pfft. I'll see what all the fuss is about, maybe make fun of the show.
Phase 3) Meh. It was okay. It wasn't that bad, I'll give it that.

Phase 7) I'm dead serious, you should watch My Little Pony, too.

even if phase 3 is a bit different in your case it's still possible
truest me no one is immune to the addiction paths
that's how i got addicted to some reality shows.

Well i am immune. Which is why I'm not the kind of teen who watchs Jersey Shore(Barely got through one episode. NEVER AGAIN)

Still i gotta know if that path thing actually true to other people?

I've known two people who've gone from thinking it was stupid to loving it in very similar stages to those: KingLambda and prince-dari. As for stories I've heard that went exactly like that, I've heard tons from tons of different people.

Mine was more like, "Wow, this is really cute and produces some cool fanart; I wonder if I could like this" to "I like it, but why do adult men like it?" to "Ohh, I understand now."

I just looked up what "UST" means and... stop trolling. Seriously. You're on your last warning for both spam and trolling now. If you really can't contain yourself from trolling in this topic, stop posting in it or there will be global forum consequences.

I'll leave it to male fans of the show to give a good explanation, but people of all ages find it funny because it has some classic cartoon humor and characters that they find amusing. The show was made to appeal to children as well as their parents who might be watching with them.

I didn't say it was by UST. It was a Wild Mass Guess i saw on Tvtropes and it's as good as explanation that I'm gunna be getting. Just saying.

So you completely ignore any other more reasonable explanations (which were given in this thread alone I'm pretty sure at least three times when you were present) just because you saw that one explanation you like better in one place? You're trolling. Why else would you bring that up when you knew it would get nothing but negative reactions?

You should do it in the Fibonacci sequence. Much more efficient.

EDIT: Ask SpyroRocks to put in a "Ban from Topic" method. It feels like a full-on ban would be unneeded if you had that ability.

I still don't see what the fuss isabout the show but what evers, it has its fans nothing you can realy do about it.

@Neotyguy40: I was going to square each successive ban, but it would've never grown above one. tongue And I will be extremely impressed with anyone who can convince the admin to change anything on this forum, but you're right, if I had the ability to ban from topics or even sections, I'd sooner do that than a sitewide ban for something like this.

@Clock-la: Good decision. tongue And yeah, although I do like the show, I think it is pretty overrated and is certainly not the BEST SHOW EVAR or anything.

What I don't get, though, is why some people who don't like it seem to care so much that it's popular. I did the same thing a couple years ago when Twilight was popular - I hated it and it annoyed me that other people liked it. Now I couldn't care less that other people do, and I can't figure out why I ever did care. =/ So basically, now that I'm on the receiving end of the hatedom with this pony fandom, I know how the Twilight fans felt when I did it and pretty much feel like a jerk for annoying them so much about "being wrong" for liking it.

I suppose hating something is alright, as long as you do so for the right reasons. But then, of course, it is pure opinion on what a good reason is. So, actually, not a great deal of progress there.

Hating is fine; I just don't get hating the fans of something you hate. Or feeling the need to shove it in their faces constantly. =/ I'm pretty ashamed that I was once a part of it.

Also YAY. Everyone should come on IRC on my #bronies channel and we can all watch a stream of the first episode when it comes out.

Oh yeah, and I think one of my classmates may be a /b/rony. He saw KingLambda's Big Mac and Spike pins and was annoyed, not because he liked ponies, but because he doesn't like ponies and also go on /b/. And this guy is a known /b/tard, so... maybe? o.o

Hmm... looking up the time and day it airs, and... oh dear, it'll air while I'm at school. Maybe. Unless I have the afternoon off that day, which is unlikely with the subjects I've taken. I'll have ponies three hours late.
