Speaking of that, I remember when Dinosaur first came out to theaters. I was
fairly young, and I got so scared of that movie, I asked my parents if we can
leave. We all left, including my sister. I think she was scared too. She's
exactly 1.5 years older than me [to the day], so it makes sense that she was
also scared of the movie. But regarding Prince of Egypt, I don't remember
what that movie is like. I'd have to watch a YouTube video about it.*Watches YouTube video*
Oh, whoa! I remember that movie! It's awesome.
I love dinosar but i always cry'd when the monkeys were been killed
It was mainly the whole...plaigs bit that sceard me, the main one was the nile filled with blood. and dos'nt that guy drink the blood?

Re: The Animated Movies topic
Titan A.E.
Just looked it up for no reason.
New favorite animated movie.
Now to find out what this "Balto" movie is that everyone keeps talking about.

Balto is a great movie! Other than Lion King it was probably my most favorite movie growing up.

Re: The Animated Movies topic
I want to watch Titan A.E. but there something about 2d animation and lots of GCI work mixed together that I’m not keen on:/ oh well i realy in the TV guide ((it’s on sky TV which i don't have
)) it has amazing visuals but you need to you "ignore the clichés."

Titan A.E had some of the best cgi I've ever seen. It looks more believable than what we have now.

Re: The Animated Movies topic
Maby its just me then, the only film so far that had 3D and made it fit was Aladin.
Alow me to...exsplain my point XD
When watching Sunbad ((good 2d animated film, cheesey at parts but very nice film at the end of the day)) when they moved about for some odd reson the charictors looked a bit flat. guess im just exspecting every other non-disney film to be the same. xD

Oh my god, I hated the CGI in Aladin. That was probably my most hated part of the entire movie.
I did really enjoy the Titan A.E. effects though. I think they could have used more softer shading on the characters though. I know what you mean by the 'flat look'. I think that could have been fixed very easily, but I don't see it too noticeable.
@Latias Fan - Secrets of NIMH, I'll look that up right after Balto. I guess you guys can notice I've never really seen many of these animated movies.

[i]What's funny was that I was disagreeing with you when you said I disagree with everything you say...
All the CGI felt too smooth. It felt like there was no texture or material on any of the objects. It just contrasted with the look of all the other ornate animated objects and characters around them.

Re: The Animated Movies topic
That’s how I like it TBH, I prefer it to blend in rather than stand out and be to obvious there using it, after all I think Disney should try to stay as 2D as they can in there 2D films. It just seems...ugly in some cases when then use CGI all over then just shove 2D charictors in.

No, I mean the CGI looked too smooth and undetailed. It contrasted with the more ornate 2D animation that fit the theme.

Re: The Animated Movies topic
You know what's cool about animation, particularly 2d animation...
90% is just our imagination.
Think about it. Animation is just frames of a still cartoon put together to make it look like it's moving. We know it's not moving, though. Imagine a cartoon that has 20 frames per second. This means that you are staring at the same picture for every .05 seconds. Now your brain barely has time to relay this, but by the time you hit the next frame, the picture changes into something slightly different. Your brain reacts by replacing the 'shift' in picture as something that is moving on the screen.
Our brain connects these dots, without us ever realizing it.

Wake me up... when September ends is here...

Re: The Animated Movies topic
I think 2D is better ((Especially when it is compleatly hand drawn)) than 3D, it just seems more magical in my eyes. :3
that and theres so many 3D animated films now you can't help but think there to easy to make ((even though they certenly arn't.))
Why am I crying...

Re: The Animated Movies topic
Just watched Balto. Really good, and I didn't even look at it from a children's movie perspective. I'm thinking of watching 2 and 3, but I'm not going to immediately.
So what's next, Secret of NIMH?

Re: The Animated Movies topic
I watched some Disney movies in my time, a bit of Land Before Time, a bit of Balto, I even watched a bit of The Trumpet of the Swan, but never finished it.
