Or, the Sorceress stole 151 eggs and magically removed Spike's wings without opening his egg and sent him to Canterlot. That is why you can only get 117% in Spyro 3.

First of all, this is a common argued topic amongst bronies. "Older" Spike, seen in this episode:

As Spike grows a spontaneous maturity, it seems that no wings are present. Which means Spike must be a dragon with no wings. At first, I argued that all dragons must at least have wings, but apparently, there are dragons types called drakes that do not have wings and have four legs.

And secondly, I don't really know what the real argument would be, since a dragon is a mythical creature that no one has really seen. Even if they are real, everything we know about them is fueled by imagination. So weather or not dragons have the 'power' to teleport scrolls with their breathe is beside the point.

Also: Dark Twilight Sparkle. Pretty BA if you ask me. Leads me to believe we'll see that again in future episodes of the show.

Yeah, but if you ask me that's just a giant version of baby Spike, as he's been grown by magic, therefore it's no indication of how he'll look when he's grown up.

The other version is pretty different, though he still doesn't have wings:

However this sequence is all a day dream, so it cannot be taken as a certainty that that's how Spike will look grown up, which leads me to think we should base how he'll grow up on what we've seen of other adult dragons in the series:

Around 16:40
They both have wings, and look similar to one of the typical dragon types.

Of course as RiverHippo said a dragon's a mythical creature, you can't really dictate what one can do or must look like past a certain extent.

A dragon's wings would most likely not just start randomly growing. They would be born/hatched with wings. Example being that birds are born with wings and as far as I know there isn't an animal that starts sprouting wings (after hatching of course) as if they were horns. Then again you could always argue that dragons don't exist in the first place (or do they~ ;p ) and that they can turn out to be anything we imagine them to be. But realistically it wouldn't make a lot of sense. Not like any of it matters to begin with because chances are Spike won't grow up in the series. I think it would be sorta cool though.

I suppose it's fair enough to say that the wings probably wouldn't just sprout judging by other winged animals, but other winged animals don't breathe fire, that kind of throws realism out of the window. tongue

I watched a documentary on dragons that proved it could be a possibility to breathe fire. They used a type of bug as an example that could spark/ignite. I don't remember the details though since I haven't seen the documentary in years.

But I do remember that the documentary was called Dragons A Fantasy Made Real. None of it is ABSOLUTE proof but even so it shows a lot of possibilities and plus I think it's just interesting.

I've never heard of any place nor person who's name is Celistia. And you seem to know enough of Radiant Historia too know it's on the DS. In which case buy it now. It's good.
