Life may not be all about brightly colored ponies, but that doesn't mean we should be saying that anyone deserves to be dead. Doesn't matter how or why they died, it's still a human life we're talking about. Telling someone to kill themselves is never funny, and never justifiable.

The point was that I was trolling and I didn't mean what I said, I don't really think that most of you are nerds and I don't think anyone should kill themselves but stormy had to go and be all politically correct and force me to be nice or get banned despite the fact that this is the spam section. Freedom.

Okay, seriously? You're complaining that I told you not to say "kill yourself"? Why do people in this section complain about such ridiculous things?

I'm not trying to make you be "politically correct"; I'm trying to tell you that you need to act like a decent human being and be respectful of other people, or other people (including me) will not want you here. If other people do not want you here and are being hurt/annoyed/offended/whatever by what you've said, you are decreasing their overall enjoyment of the forum, and the forum would be better off without you, which, yes, would lead to you being banned.

I don't care if you were trolling and didn't mean a word of what you said; your words can still have effect on people. It's not only the mean old freedom-stealing, fun-sucking moderator who wants this to stop; what I'm trying to do is stick up for Spyroforum members, and I've actually been getting a lot of complaints about your posts being just plain mean-spirited. If you can't handle the fact that people on this forum expect to be treated with basic decency and respect, please do take my previous advice and go to 4chan instead, where you can have all the "freedom" you want. I see no one else besides you who has a problem with this.

And if you can actually somehow get Spyrorocks to care about what goes on in this forum, I will be truly shocked. I fail to see how this is important at all; just don't be the horrible troll you've been for the past couple weeks and there will be no problem at all.

That’s all fine and I agree with you for the rest of the forum but this is spam...I remember when there used to be a sign above this section that said something like "every time you post here a puppy gets shot" I thought it set a good tone for what spam was all about and now you have gone and ruined it.

You're probably thinking of the picture in the header of General Chat that said "Stop the spam or I'll shoot this dog," which was presumably removed because SR realized when he got older than 12 that it didn't look very professional. The header of this section has always looked like it has now. You were never given license to be an *bleep* to other forum members, regardless of the section you're doing it in.

oh, please. what about me? all i did was post cardboard boxes in a joking manner and now people are complaining that i'm being RUDE AND HURTING THEIR FEELINGS and they take the internet so seriously that images of boxes "detract from their enjoyment" of a thread already based on images. then, to keep things respectful and fair for both sides, i'm informed that basically Side A has to deal with Side B but side B shouldn't have to deal with side A.

at first i was in favor of these stricter rules because things were getting personal and i don't want that, but this is kind of over-the-top the past few days.

You were annoying me (and other people) by continually, as I said in the other thread, slapping me in the face with how much you hate something I like. I asked you nicely to stop. My post was an attempt to ask you, not as a moderator ordering you around, but as a fellow member, to please stop doing that because it is getting on my nerves. There is a huge difference here: Side A is you being needlessly rude, annoying, and obnoxious in a thread about something you hate seeing (and what is the sense in even going there, then? This is what I meant by members in this section complaining about ridiculous things....) that no one is forcing you to view. Side B is the MLP fans mentioning it in threads and having pictures you don't like in their avatars and signatures. Again, like I said in the other thread, I have to put up with this all the time when I see things I don't like. TLoS Spyro is all over this forum, yet I feel no need to immaturely poke at its fans in some stupid attempt for "equality of annoyance" or whatever. No offense, but you need to grow some thicker skin if people talking about something you hate makes you so angry that you have to take it out on other people.

Again, in your case it was less about trying to enforce rules and more about me being annoyed and simply requesting that you please stop it because it was annoying me. Now, on the other hand, the new rules are about respecting the original poster, so if it had been JazzJackrabbit telling you to stop being annoying in his thread, I actually would be enforcing rules.

I would also appreciate it if you would respond to the post in the other thread, where I have made a more complete argument for you to pick apart if you wish.

well i was going to reply to that other one, but if i'm remembering correctly from about 1:00 AM (which is admittedly unlikely) all the important things you said in that post (and all the important things i was about to say) are already here, but i also would rather just finish this now than keep picking apart arguments, it's pointless and i've actually not been doing this kind of thing as much as i used to and i'm kind of proud of that, and i'd like to keep it that way, and i was about to reply in that thread when i hit "preview" and found a new discussion starting that i once again out of respect didn't want to interrupt.

but yes most of my annoyance came from the idea that you were acting as a moderator over this which you apparently weren't, so i do apologize for that much.

but i still think you're taking everything i'm doing way too seriously, thinking that my boxes and whatever are "needlessly rude" and that i'm "so angry that i have to take it out on other people." if i was really expressing my anger about this show and especially if i really was taking it out on other people, you'd know. it would be something actually intelligent unlike most of what i post here, and probably wouldn't be openly directed at other users here.

i did all that in the pony thread for the hell of it, not to be a sociopath.

The point I was trying to make (perhaps in harsher words than you would have liked) is not that you're an angry sociopath, but that there's absolutely no reason for you to what you were doing except to intentionally annoy people, which is something I usually throw under the category of obnoxious and rude, spam section or not. If there was a thread in this section where people talked about how much they loved Legend of Spyro, do you not agree that it would be rude and a little off-putting of me to go into that thread and continually post "TLOS SUX AND EVEN THIS LAMP IS MORE INTERESTING THAN IT" with millions of repeated pictures of a lamp when I could just as easily not post at all and avoid the thing I dislike?

I already told you people were complaining about it; do you expect me to just ignore the complaints? I actually was mostly letting it slide until you crossed the line and told Maxwell to kill himself.
