thread for people who love Sonic~

It's finally Sonic's birthday and the Sonic Generations demo is now officially out. The demo is only temporary for about 19 days and it's just the classic for Green Hill. I pretty much literally grew up with Sonic, and I actually prefer his modern look. But no matter what I love Sonic all around c:

You know i gotta ask. What the hell is with this series? This is the most impudent, lousy, unchanging, No evolution piece of *bleep* series that WILL NOT DIE!!!! The last few sonic games were so dreadful, so broken, so unplayable, and so lousy. That i question why people actually bother buying the new games. It was worse in Sonic 4 where not only has it gotten worse, its gone backwards. All they did with that game was pretty much remade Sonic 1 with HD graphics...that's it. And now they are literally remaking the first game AGAIN!!!! How pathetic is that.

"No evoution"? If my interpretation of your bad grammar is correct then I'm assuming that you mean the series doesn’t evolve, which is bull. Every game adds something new to the point were allot of fans actually complain about it.

"so dreadful, so broken, so unplayable" The reviews I have seen for the likes of Sonic colours says otherwise.

"And now they are literally remaking the first game AGAIN!!!!" Not just the first game but also the best bits from the entire series and I for one think that’s awesome.

Honestly, I made this thread for the lovers of sonic (clearly stated). Bashing him on this thread is basically trolling. Stop being childish for goodness sake. I'd rather not have this topic locked because of crap like that. It will just start a flame war and there is usually no recovering after that

that said 20 years O-o i remember when we had out lil saga with sonic 2 i think it was..oh good days every time we got RIGHT to the end mom stormd in and turn'd it off T_T

that's fine, it's just with your previous statement it looked sorta like bashing to me but I wasn't actually directing my statement towards you. Just from another post I decided to nip it in the bud so to speak. More or less just preventing further bashing is all.

If the one who made the topic doesn't wish the negative opinions then you guys can make your own topic about it if you have a desire to do so. Anyways I always loved Sonic when I was a kid, but haven't stuck with the series past Sega Genesis lol......but all and all I think I'll try this new one they have coming out pretty soon.

Its ok it did seem a bit brash Xd anyway I want to know what sonic game I did have, it was 2D on an old Saga console and i rember It had a dinosar part...i think... tongue

I think the multiple Sonics thing is cheesy, but it is totally appropriate for what the game is.

it's from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 but it was a scrapped level apparently. I skimmed it so I may have read some of it wrong but it looks like there may have been a playable beta with this level. more info here: http://info.sonicretro.org/Hidden_Palace_Zone

I think I may try it out for myself. it also appears that some other levels were removed at such a last minute that they were accessible through hacking. I suppose that would be because there wasn't enough time to fully rip it out of the game. kinda neat

Yeah, because of that I couldn't really get into the games when I was little. It didn't help that I was just plain terrible at it XD So my love for Sonic actually came about because of the cartoons. Strangely I preferred The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog over Sonic the Hedgehog SATAM. That was weird for me because I hated traditional cartoons like looney toons ect. Looking back I find SATAM waaaay better even though I hate every single Archie character. Except for Bunnie Rabbot.

One cartoon I never saw that I might start watching on youtube is Sonic Underground. Though it had really terrible reviews from Sonic fans. And the modern cartoon Sonic X was past my childhood but I saw bits and pieces of it. Sadly I didn't like it at all even though it compromised of my some of my favorite games SA1 and SA2. I think 4 kids is partially to blame for that. I didn't care for the style they used either... not that the old cartoons looked any better.

Except for the Sonic movie. That has to be my favorite over all. I liked the style and everything other little thing about it! I loved that they didn't censure anything either. Sonic giving Metal Robotnik the finger, Sonic synchronizing his sight with Metal Sonic when it sees under Sara's dress and among other things that parents today would FREAK OUT about! haha great stuff <3

Wow that is an amazing tribute to Sonic! well done~ >w< definitely worth a fav, and a 'like' ^^

also to those looking for some info on Sonic Generations I found a wiki: http://sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Sonic_News_Network as far as I know, most if not all of the info is accurate. it sounds like Tails and Knux will probably be involved in the story. I thought Shadow was too (I think Yuji Naka said he would appear) but it doesn't look like he will be apart of the story but a boss battle instead. Which is cool but I kinda wanted him apart of the story, but I suppose that wouldn't make much sense. You get to re-battle Silver too (yay I get to beat the ever loving crap out of him again >D) Also it sounds like my favorite boss, Perfect Chaos will be a boss battle too. I'm really excited!
