What's your response to this?

Also, this makes me think about what other "eco-friendly" things are out
there in the world that are actually harmful to living animals or humans.

I'm all for technological progress, but my biggest beef with those lights is that the ballast (which is what actually dies) is usually attached to the bulb. Also, they take a long time to reach their full brightness (it's gotten better lately.)

The UV problem? It's nothing compared to what we get from the sun, so there's no need to freak out.

I am in favor of incandescent bulbs, at least until LED bulbs become cheaper.

Anyway that source is from the moast misrable paper in the UK, all over I saw papers going on about the royal wedding, that one had in the top corner "top 10 thingswe disslike about the royals" i was like...wow...how joyfull big_smile

PROTIP: If a British newspaper insists that something is likely to kill you with cancer, they are basing their facts on at best, two scientific surveys, and what is probably just a fluke of the laboratory.
