Re: Pony Spam (could get vulgar)

And you're a fan of Spyro, a pretty furry game series. Everyone's guilty of something.

K Ontels i'm gunna tell you something. A furry is an animal that walks on two feet, Wears cloths, has human intelligence, And acts like a normal human being(Example:El Arca, Cats Don't Dance, Road Rovers, Secret of N.I.M.H to some extent) When an animal can talk to other animals but act like actual animals(Walks on four legs, Doesn't wear cloths) this is called anthropomorphism(Example:Balto,Lion King, Bambi). The furry fandom is an insidious fandom of people who prefer the first option.

And if you consider a person who likes pokemon a furry then i guess that means almost everyone on this forum is a furry then. Oh and we're on a forum that worships an anthropomorphismized dragon. So in your theory we're all furries, including you.

Re: Pony Spam (could get vulgar)

I don't think even two legged animals in cartoons are necessarily furries. Furries are people who pretend they're animals, right? And why are we having an argument about this anyway? I'm pretty sure this is another instance of ontels trolling.

Why do you keep entering and posting in threads about something you know you hate? Please answer; I'm genuinely curious.

Re: Pony Spam (could get vulgar)

I can understand offering actual criticism to a certain degree. When it's just a constant stream of insults, though, you have to wonder what the person's motives are. Does it make them feel superior that they're too cool to like something that stupid? Do they think their insults are funny or clever? Do they hope that if they insult the fandom enough it will go away? Who knows.

Yeah, exactly. I actually like a little debate about MLP from time to time. Until insults start getting thrown.

Saying MLP is worse than the furry fandom is a bit of a stretch don't you think?

Re: Pony Spam (could get vulgar)

why are you two taking this so seriously?

...OK, really? Who's taking this seriously?

I mean, I get what you're saying, but come on. You have to see the point we're trying to make, right? You've declared your loathing for this show so many times in such a strong way, so isn't it natural that we'd wonder why you'd subject yourself to looking at it and talking about it? Isn't it natural that we'd get just a tad annoyed by you posting nothing but insulting comments towards it when you could easily just not look at it? And of course I have no idea what you're like outside this forum; how could I? Seeing as I have nothing else to judge on, I have no choice but to think of people I know only on the internet as the persona they portray online, and like it or not, what you choose to post in this section is not magically exempt from that.

And that image. Harmless trolling, just like you said. Chill, dude. What's the difference between that and "HEHE, you insulted a show for little girls; aren't you just hilarious?"

Re: Pony Spam (could get vulgar)

I honestly read your posts as sincere. I didn't detect trolling in them. Now, I may be at fault at that for misinterpreting it, but (unless you're continuing to troll) I don't think it was worth getting so upset over, we just didn't see the need for the consistent angry-toned posts of dislike. My post was not an angry one, I only asked for more respect.

Re: Pony Spam (could get vulgar)

OK, you might not have seen my edit so I'll ask this here. How is the image I posted any different than your "mindless trolling" comments? I did not mean to insult you, only what I believed to be the motives for your actions, and although I can see how you took it that way, I think you're taking this way too personally for your own good, especially for someone claiming that posts in this section mean nothing.

Like KingLambda, I didn't detect any trolling. Your comments in this thread seemed no different to me than your posts in the General Chat pony thread: overdramatic and angry. I sometimes don't respond well to that kind of tone, so I apologize if I responded badly in any way.

It's hard to convey emotions on the internet. If I truly misunderstood your intentions, then again, I'm sorry, but how was I supposed to tell? I can't just assume that 100% of content in this section is bullcrap, and even so, you admitted that you meant most of what you said. And again, I saw no difference between your posts in this and the other thread.

Re: Pony Spam (could get vulgar)

I don't feel like anybody here intentionally insulted anyone. Both you, and Stormy and I, were just defending the position from which we saw the situation. If the image Stormy used is what you're referring to, the fact that it's a little kid is irrelevant. The only reason that picture is used for that caption is because his face matches the mood. I know Stormy very well, and I know that neither she nor I would insult you, especially not over something like this.

Re: Pony Spam (could get vulgar)

Yeah, basically, the phrase "Stop liking what I don't like" came to mind when reading your posts, so I found a picture with that caption. I used that one because the kid's face looks funny and makes me giggle, not because I was calling you a little kid.

Honestly, if I was going to intentionally insult you at any time, it would be now. You're acting like you're some poor, helpless, innocent victim of horrible and brutal bullying, when really all we were doing is wondering what you are doing in a thread about something you don't like while participating in some of the silly nonsense of this section. If you were trying to defend yourself and improve your image with angry rants and by telling me to "shut up," I'm sorry, but it doesn't work that way. I would have been much more willing to take you seriously if you had been more level headed about the whole thing.

hey, i'll go along with anything at this point so i don't have to keep up what's probably my millionth argument that started out with an actual topic and ended up being constant explanations. if i wanted, i could probably keep shooting this stuff down, and at one point i would have, but that's in the past. it's just not even worth it; i'll drop it if you will. i am, well, sorry that i misunderstood you as well.

I don't normally accept apologies when the person apologizing doesn't sound sincere and still wants to believe himself the only wronged party, but I agree, this is pointless, so I'll drop it from here on.
