Sorry if this sounds stupid. Latias fan I really am sorry if this sounds stupid.

But sometimes does your family parents, brothers, sisters do something you don't agree with Like racism, putting someone down, Breaking up with someone after yelling at them for no reason.

Have you stood up to your family about it or just did nothing. Because you love them so much. Once again hope this does not sound stupid.[/code]

I mostly do nothing if they do something i don't approve of.If i do stand up to them they'll just ground for some bull**** reason.And no dood i don't think this question is stupid.

Its not uncommon for family to have disagreements with issues of morality.

It's important to have a good attitude where you are disagreeing with their opinion, without actually putting them down. That goes for family and non-family.

This world is full of broken families who fight, argue, and lie amongst each
other. So there are families who "can be wrong." Fortunately for me, my family
is kind, forgiving, caring, and very supportive. I thank God a lot for that.

I don't personally know your family, so I cannot make an accurate guess.

If one of my family members [thinking mainly of my sister] does
something bad, stupid, or similar, I don't agree and "take his/her side."
Even though that person is my family and I love them a great deal, it does
not mean that I should let them do bad things. I would try to help that
family member get his/her mind straightened out so that they don't
continue doing that bad thing.

I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

A latino girl got mad at my sister late last year, and they got in a big
arguement. My sister was only trying to calm her down, but the girl was
only growing more violent. When she slapped a drink out of my sister's
hand [that she was holding], that's when I became mad. I may have been
furious, I can't remember clearly. But I came close to striking that girl
right in the temple with my [solid body] electric guitar. No one messes
with my sister like that, especially if my sister is innocent. And if someone
threatens one or more of my family's lives, I will probably kill him/her.

After all, I'm going to buy myself an M1A when I have a chance, but not
for the purpose of taking someone's life. I will if a situation demands it, though.

2. My father is sexist against women.
3. My sister believes we shouldn't advance technology (I'm dead serious).

Actually, these questions you are asking are much more important than
most of the other topics here on this forum. People need to know about
what's on the inside of society's families and even individual's lives. People
need to know that they should worry more about their own hearts and
their own families before they go about waging war against Middle-Eastern
dirt bags and running around with a "go green!" attitude.

As for my family;

Father: Smart and a good worker/father BUT can easily be presauded(bad speller) to go out and get drunk/high with friends.

Step-Mother: Worst person you will ever meet, my father is planning to leave her ASAP and agreed it was a mistake.

Mother: Average mother with a average job. I do hate how bad her memory is though.

Step-Father: Nice but too picky and can easily get upset.

Older Sister: Smart and okay. Hurts me when she is mad.

There is some problems I have with my family but we normally work it out, I guess. Some of the good things in our family that we all agree on is"Go-Green" technology and the coming of the "Green Evolution". As for disagreement, normally me and my mother. She doesn't like me being a Bisexual but she said that it's my life and she shouldn't judge me on that.

Edit: As for standing up to my family. Ya.. I do sometimes but normally I end up getting into trouble. Other times I end up being correct on the subject and my step-dad feels stupid that I knew what I was talking about XD.

Not saying Atheist is a bad thing, we all have our own beliefs, but, with my religion, the thought of someone going to hell because of their beliefs rather scares me.

Just out of curiosity, where did I include your religion in that? ...Or any kind
of religion. I just said to respect others by being careful with your word
choice. I'm nearly speaking to myself in saying that, too, because I know I
say a lot of stuff that I look back upon and frown at.

You should never get mad at anyone. Anger leads to other negative things.
Just look at the world around you. Since when does being mad do something positive?

Wait... You're saying you're mad at me for being an Atheist? Seriously?

I mean, even at our forum's most heated religious argument, I was never mad at anyone for being religious, and it did not seem like anyone was mad at me for being atheist. Not even Swaffeh and I were angry at each other in that thread. And we had no reason to be, especially because the argument was unintentional.

However, when you go and say you're mad at me for not following your religion, that sounds pretty intentional to me. You said in another thread that you didn't judge people by their beliefs (right after saying you did), and now I'm starting to question your positions in your posts.

Swaffeh made a very wise post, and I suggest you listen to him when he says to choose your words wisely. You could have easily not said anything than to have said 'idc'.

I'm just mad at the thought that they will go to hell, according to my religion.
Though, that's one of the little things I don't like to follow to my religion and I hate it a lot that good people will go to hell because of their thoughts... I swear something wrong in the books if god wants that...

I guess I said it wrong on my last post..>.< anyways, basicly, I meant to say I am mad at my religion for what it says cause it makes for feel sad, and bad for others...

And as for the "After you die"
All I know is after you die, you become a ghost, or spirit. W/e floats your boat, I guess. Thinking you will just got blank and nothing else happens is kinda... Bad.. Gotta believe something at least.. Eh..
