about the first "fight" with Steam...

when Spyro's riding on those railroad tracks, chasing Steam and attacking him. (it's Steam because after you destroy the caboose and keep attacking, it says "Steam" above the health bar.)

i've destroyed the caboose, but never destroyed Steam itself; i always get to that part where he gets behind me first.

has anyone ever destroyed Steam there? what happens afterward? anything?

edit: OH YEAH, i'm talking about the PS2 version. i don't know if this is on any other versions.

I don't think you can kill Steam at that point in the game. Hence the boss fight later.

i really think you can. i found out today that even after it's behind you, and you're "running" from it, you can still attack it, because the explosion from the fire blasts (and possibly having it ram into you? i don't know) will still injure it.

i must have literally been two hits away from defeating Steam. not the caboose. Steam.

i want to ask a favor: i just got PAST this part today. would somebody who is near this spot really try and get it? both firing AND ramming into it will damage it, and like i said, even after it's behind you, you can still injure it.
if you succeed, please post what happens.

oh wow i finally found an answer to this

through the power of CheatEngine, i've discovered that... nothing happens, basically. even if you lock his health at zero, he just keeps going.
