Re: Trailer and information about "Skylander's: Spyro's Adventure"

New information:

Not too new, but noe one has talked about it yet.

There are 8 elements in Skylander's: Spyro's Adventure.

An element is not the primary weapon like LoS universe.  It is rather how the character's primary and secondary weapon in fueled.

The elements are:

Fire as in Ignitor and Eruptor
Magic as in Spyro
Earth as in wood monster
Water as in Gill Grunt
Tech as in Trigger Happy
Air
Life
Undead

It is also confirmed that Co-operative play will be in the game as well as a versus mode.  Our ideas about a Spyro fighting game was far fetched,  but it looks like it's in the making.

Re: Trailer and information about "Skylander's: Spyro's Adventure"

Actually looks like an awesome idea. But it's been made too garish, and lumping in Spyro as a fan lure was just tacky and sad. And it seems that game studios everywhere are now addicted to raping Spyro's face, personality, and bone structure.

The conclusion: Activision is trolling us. Or maybe the entire studio is on LSD.

"So, hmmmmm, what's your, hmmmmm, point."
"Like, maybe we could make toys come to life..."
"Wow, that's, hmmmm, inspired, send it down to, hmmmm, programming and let's hmmmmm, order pizza."
"I love you duuuuuude."
"I only love, hmmmmmm, art."
"That's, like, cool."

Well, two out of three. And they probably are going to screw with it. It's what they do, these faceless corporation types.

Also, how dejected are the pokémon people going to feel when this is launched.

Toys for Bob were the ones who designed Spyro's design, not Activision... -_-

And they look like Dungeons and Dragons pieces (albeit more cartoony)

Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

Re: Trailer and information about "Skylander's: Spyro's Adventure"

You do have a point there. tongue

I just don't like the figures because they're making us spend extra money to get the full potential of the game when the characters could just be unlockable through the game itself.

Re: Trailer and information about "Skylander's: Spyro's Adventure"

Think of the extra figures as DLC, you don't have to buy them to enjoy the whole game.

Re: Trailer and information about "Skylander's: Spyro's Adventure"

Not really a big fan of DLC either, to be honest. I like to complete everything that's available so I can get the most out of the game, and DLC makes it so you have to spend more than the base $50 - $60 price of a new game to do it.

I agree with you there but still I'm sure just buying the starter set will make a full game.

In situations of spending money for it, yes.  Most games with DLC wont charge extra for it.  And anyway, They're gonna have to make the extra content you get with the figurines to be worth it or else no one will buy them.  If it really is a scam, it wont take long for people to notice.  (waiting for SA comment from someone who is against this game...)

Re: Trailer and information about "Skylander's: Spyro's Adventure"

Worth it to whom, though? The six to twelve year olds who will beg their parents for it? Anything's worth it to someone if it's not their money being spent. tongue

From a financial standpoint, this is a brilliant idea. They're trying to make it seem like you can't fully enjoy the game with all its 32 characters unless you dish out hundreds of dollars to buy all of them and experience their unique stories. From my perspective, not so great. Even if I end up liking it, there's no way I'll waste money on buying all the figures, so I'll always feel like I'm missing something. That's what's annoying me about it.

I suppose you are right.

Imagine being one of the rich kid brats and having all 32 characters on the day of release.  It would be pretty sweet, i think.

Lol yeah. Then another 50 are released and of course you'll just have to have all of those too.

Poor parents though.... XD

Re: Trailer and information about "Skylander's: Spyro's Adventure"

I heard about this game the day it was announced, but for some reason I could not get on this forums to post about it.

Anyways, I do not think it sounds that great at all.

Yeah, nice try dude, but someone already beat you to mentioning the DLC thing, and I already responded that I don't like those either. tongue
