It seems like an interesting concept, but I think 32 characters is an awful lot. That many characters is ok for a fighting game like Brawl, but most of these seem to be generic default Spore creatures. I would have liked to see Bentley and Agent 9 and those others. Scenery looks great. Not sure how badly it will tick off the other fans.

Not really, it is just a game that happens to have Spyro in it. He is not even the main character.

Skylanders Spyro's Adventure lets kids take on the role of a powerful Portal Master, who can control over 30 different characters, including the beloved purple dragon Spyro. He is not the focus however; he is just a selling point. He may get more attention than the others; however, he is just one among many. And it lack the key defining feature that all Spyro games must have.

"The core of ever true Spyro game is playing as a dragon. You may get other characters for a change of pace, but being a dragon is the main thing.

In Skylanders you might play as a dragon, but it is not central to the game."

The Toy thing does sound interesting, But I'm granted only to get the ones for my collection...Collecting is a hobby of mine from star wars figures to Spawn etc.

They were in there as a change of pace, not as an alternative character to play through the game with. The main part of the game was playing as a dragon.

You could relate Spyro to Picachu, which is weird. But without Picachu, Pokemon would be different, even though you don't always use him.

And this title's storyling revolves around Spyro being the primary hero.

SO maybe there are other characters that could steal the show, but Kobe Bryant has the same affect, lol

For this one game maybe, but the series is not about him. Just look at the title.
