Smile
When life is going up and down,
Side to side and round and round.
It hurts to smile so you frown,
You have to face the pain.
When things are going wrong not right,
As grim and grey as a clouded night.
Where no drift of hope is in plain sight,
You need to wait a while.
When things get bad and never good,
It's hard to see things where you stood.
You would recover if you only could,
But you need to loose to gain.
When things get worse and not better,
Your tears won't dry and cheeks get wetter.
The vision fogs on your sight-setter,
You need to take the trial.
You're thrown into exile,
Then walking for a mile,
But it will all be so worthwile,
To see that final
SMILE.
