Sucks in what way? the length of the game, the story, the game play? Personally i play it because of the stories. lately the Final Fantasy games havent been very good. I admit that. but one of Squares new games coming out the 25th called Lord of Arcana, i tried the demo on my psp and was rather fun.

Something else that also bothers me now is that Square changed the name of Agito to Type-0 and apparently reserved the names of Type-1, Type-2, and type-3 in which they might make "Agito" into its own series.

I have to agree. to me FFX was the last of the good games. They failed with FF14 online, FF12 was an epic fail, and FF13 wasnt the best... yet it wasnt to good either. I think the Numbered Series Does kind of need to be put to rest because it did its part for 1-10 but after that they are losing their touch. How ever their other titles are still quite fun and rather good.

If they stop making Final Fantasy, then profits will go down. But if the next game has "From the Makers of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts" written on the cover, it will probably boost the new game's sales. Unless everybody hates Square for milking the cash cow to death.

I'm really starting to lose respect for square because not only did it made one of the worse RPGS i ever played(The World Ends With You)it had to go and make the worst MMORPG ever made(Final Fantasy 14)and now there milking Kingdom Hearts with Birth by Sleep 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3D.And of course there sequelizing another sequel i mean you can't do that!Don't they know how bad X-2 was?I'm exited for Versus 13 but its been in production for 6 years i belive so the enthusahasim i'm haveing for it is going down big time.

Final fantasy sucks in both combat and story. The combat sucks becuase everyone suddenly gets riggermortis after attacking and proceeds to allow the dude to hit them.

Storywise, it is more or less the same thing: A group of emo crazy-haired people going up againt Satan/large corperation. Oh and we throw in the few sterotypes as well (Black dude as comic relief (Afro dude in 13) and having big guns (Barret))

I actually liked 8 though.

wow pretty much everything you said applys to pretty much every RPG not just final fantasy.And 8 was the seconed worst final fantasy ever made,first being 2.

I beg to disagree.. 12 was pritty bad. The system had alot of flaws, and it had a very bland landscape and boring story. 2 wasn't to bad but 12 i cant even call it Final Fantasy.

Again, I liked the game. Bite me. Liked it a lot better than 7

Sephiroth was just there to look badass (Which he looks more like a woman) and Cloud is mr. 'WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BACKGROUND EMO'

XD Final Fantasy 7 is either a hit or miss on people. I admit Final Fantasy 8 DIDNT get enough credit which it really deserved. The boss in that one was at least a lot harder then 7 also. I like 8 more then all the others but 10 is my top favorite.

Clock-la Square can stop the Final Fantasy series because they have more then enough other games out already. They are working on Dissidia Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Lord of Arcana (which ima buy soon when it comes out the 25th for the Psp because the demo was really fun), They are also remakeing some of the classics for Play station network like the Space invaders game which i thought was well done and Pac man, They also made Star Ocean series which i loved except till end of time. There are tons of other series they work on. Yes it will take some of the income away by stopping final fantasy but then again It takes them YEARS to make just one. about 3 years ago is when i heard of Final Fantasy 13 and 13 versus. 3 years later only 13 has been released. Versus and Agito are very rarely heard about for any NEW news. Heck Fianl Fantasy 10 came out 5 years after Final Fantasy 9 i think... or longer...

Bad story,Annoying charcters,fighting was annoying,games on a constant loop of fighting enemies so it gets really tedious.no exploration at all.NPCS are unintersting and bland(The Prince for example)

Apparently you havent played 12.... Vaan has no personality, doesn't realized 2 girls are hitting on him and one is greatly obsessed with him. 12 Is also one of the most looked down on for one of the numbered series.

Durring that time yes it would be bad to stop makeing a great selling game how ever... Its taken them 6 YEARS to make Final Fantasy XIII Versus and it still isnt out. I think 6 years is a bit much wouldnt you say so? Then again Japans Economy is going better then Americas last i knew. Added on top of that... Would you buy a game that its last 2 predecessors where horrible and one was decent but still not their best?? Im talking FF14, FF 12 as the horrible and 13 as the Decent but they have had much better.
To me I would wait till i know for sure that the games have gotten better before getting them. Dissidia Final Fantasy was a new idea and to me was pretty good except for the lack of a long and or deep story. And with every new leak i hear about Dissidia 012 Duodecim.
