Where do Crash and Spyro go from Here?
I was playing Crash Bandicoot up at a friend's house and I got to thinking where are Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon going now? There may or not may not be a games called Spyro's Kingdom and Crash Rising coming out?
But just wondering what does the future hold for the orange furry dude and our purple pal?

They will go where the money flows the easiest, either way you can expect something from both in the future, just far below the standards and expectations of original fans. Unless, they can prove me wrong.

Re: Where do Crash and Spyro go from Here?
If I can upgrade my computer's RAM, I'll get the (now free) Unreal 3 Development Kit. Maybe then I'll make a Hunter the Cheetah game, then a Spyro game, then a Crash game. but I probably won't be able to make a game that is all that great. I have a great backstory in mind for Hunter.

You can end up doing anything you set your mind to. You should consider a career in computer software or graphics.

I have almost no experience with game development, just a few sprite hacks in Pokemon, and texture hacks in Brawl. It could be a looooong time.

You can teach yourself anything or go to a small community school to learn about graphics and computer technology, it really seems like something you would be good at ![]()

Maybe Michigan Tech has an Unreal development class. That's where I'm going next year.

I attend my local community college to learn about networking, cheap and fast that's what I like, no reason you can't do the same. From there you can do whatever you want.

Re: Where do Crash and Spyro go from Here?
I hope I can find some other Spyro and Crash fans at MTU. That shouldn't be too hard. However, it might be hard to find some Jazz Jackrabbit fans. Maybe I'll start something up there.

You can surprisingly find many fans of both Crash and Spyro, very rare to find someone in even my age group that went throughout their childhood and not played either of those games. The other one I'm not so sure of, but so long as you're working in graphics as a whole you should be fine in getting support.

Highly doubtful, for both franchises have more to worry about in presenting games in their own universes, no reason for them to overdue themselves when they have more important foundations to look to.

In my opinion, we're lucky to be getting any new games at all. Spyro hasn't exactly been a huge hit in overall sales in recent years. For something like that to happen, I would agree with RDX in assuming that first each franchise would have to show success in their own titles.

Good to see you again OKN, no way they combine things until both franchises find success once more.
