Re: What we know about this game
Is There A Possibility It Continues LoS Dawn Of The Dragon?
The Last Game Was left As A Total Cliff hanger!
I think that it's realistic to believe in a storyline that involves the outcome of DotD, but I do not think it will be a storyline that relates well with LoS. In the beginning of the new game, it may very well imply the LoS "past," but the story will continue and progress with little reference of LoS's epic, yet lackluster, plot.

Re: What we know about this game
Well, there is this old mentioning of the next Spyro after having conducted Spyro title tests.

"Analyzed advertising effectiveness studies (Renault Twizy, Toyota Prius & Reese’s) for online games “The Sims 3” from Electronic Arts (EA) and “NCAA Football ‘11”. Conducted title tests for the game “Spyro” from Activision."

Re: What we know about this game
Aura what exactly does title test even mean? Is that where marketers and research groups discover a new pull for the franchise overall appearance?

Re: What we know about this game
"Title test" is a marketing term that is used to describe the relationship between a title for something (a film, for example), and the concepts that title suggests to the audience (i.e., if you hear about a film called "Zombie Island", you'll know right away that it has both zombies and islands in it).
It sounds as if Activision was conducting research to try and determine which title for their next Spyro game would have the widest audience appeal (such as Spyro: Zombie Island).

It was an example, river. Don't start anything that would get people angry at you alright? Everything is like a joke to you.
Wow, stop menstruating and take a joke.
PS riverhippo: I will be sure to spread that information throughout the internet my good sir.

Re: What we know about this game
Still no official footage or concept art. The JazzJackrabbit franchise might see a new game before Spyro. Though Epic says it's not intended as a future release (just an Unreal 3 iOS demonstration), at least it has some footage. So until Thursday becomes Spyroey, or even dragony, I don't expect anything.
Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

Re: What we know about this game
Quick update (not amazing, but worth the mention):
The Dutch pricelist linked on Spyro World has gone down. It's not another hiding effort though - the week number seems to have reset, and the new pricelist for Week 1 is up.
The price list, unreliable as it is, actually suggests a 30/09/11 release date for Spyro's Kingdom. Great... now if only we could know the announcement date!
It's worth noting, though, that the information we've received has been a bit inconsistent. If the Dutch company is receiving updates on the game's release date, why hasn't it got the Starter Pack and Adventure Pack on the list? Fingers crossed Activision will answer all of this soon...

Re: What we know about this game
This is my first time hearing about the game, and I must say I am pretty excited. However, if it does happen to take place in the Legend of Spyro universe I probably would not play it seeing as I only really like the original games. Not much of a fan of the new stuff... ![]()

Re: What we know about this game
Can you give us the link to the new pricelist then?
Unfortunately I can't do that without the permission of the forum owner/administrators. (I don't actually own a cell phone to do this.)
Just replacing the 38 at the end of Spyro World's link with 1 (not 01!) should work fine.

Re: What we know about this game
^.=.^ Hey guys its been a while since i had been here and since i saw that same video about a new spyro game coming out i had to check in and see what kind of chatter has been going on about this new game. However from what i have been reading its still on the border line of not sure if it exists or will ever will be finished.
I would like to throw down one card on the table and bring up for those who might have forgotten was that when DotD was released Spyros Rights was sold to Blizzard. I cant recall from where that was mentioned but i still remember it. I can barely see them making a Spyro game unless some point of time while i was gone off finishing high school and finishing first semester of college that there was any new news about Blizzard reselling those rights off to another maker.
Though i really hope this does go some where like the Final Fantasy Dissidia 012 [Duodecim] rumor and its gone to the point its comeing out this spring.
I am a starting artist and video editor.

Re: What we know about this game
I still quiver when I see the "since June 2009"
We don't know that, it just reads like that from that resume. We don't actually know that she was working on the Spyro's Kingdom title test since June 2009, but she was definitely working on at least one of the titles listed since June 2009. Spyro's kingdom was one of them.
They least we can say is that she didn't working on it before June 2009.

Re: What we know about this game
Why is this thread even on the forum?
Isn't this forum for classic spyro lovers, and tlos haters? Seriously, EVERY person I meet on this doesnt like tlos.
But what I do know about Spyro's kingdom is that it will probably be out at endings of September, and it will be hell expensive.
But frankly, Spyro and Cynder will be there once again.... Playable! :-|

This forum is for all Spyro fans. Original fans may currently be a majority on the site (I suspect it's because of the layout being original themed), but there are also many LoS fans. And there are people who like both.

LoS fans are in hiding. They're afraid to be made fun of.

Re: What we know about this game
Hero of Legend from darkSpyro linked to something from supererogatory on Twitter. They said Spyro was being developed by "Toys for Bob". This has led me to something interesting which has probably already been found (but not posted here, as far as I know).
laurieannfranks.com actually has some art that could be related to this next game (being from someone who works at Toys for Bob). Actually, it's pretty likely. I can't be 100% sure it's not just personal art, though.
It's definitely worth a look. Personally, I do hope it's not real.
(BTW, for those who are interested: you can type the code javascript:alert(document.lastModified) into your address bar if you want to know when a page was updated. It doesn't always work, but it helps in this situation. The pages were updated only last year.)
Edit: Oh, and one of the images is called "lf_spyromerlin_meet.jpg". What? Spyro meets Merlin? Okay, so I'm slightly interested, but I'm also totally scared by what Activision's up to here.
